CSN Review + Reader’s Choice Giveaway
CSN Stores has been really good to me – offering me a few giveaway and review opportunities! I almost always take them up on the offer because they have so much in their stores to choose from (dining room sets, workout equipment, and even pet supplies*). I have to let you in on a little secret though – I let Steven pick out the review items! He knows what we need around the house, and is really good at finding things online. So, should I be surprised that the last time I sent him an email telling him to pick a few things out within a certain price range, that he came back with a list of 12 product ideas, some with options? He was surprised to see that CSN sells equipment racks (we could use these for our AV shelves), rolling metal tool shelves (is this a birthday gift hint, Steven?) and extension cords (apparently, there is a lot to know about them).
Hmm. We’ll have to wait on a few of those items!
Of course, we decided to review a few more things that we need in the kitchen – the Pyrex Smart 6 Piece Mixing Bowl Set (for more bread making activities):
the Pyrex Four-Cup Measuring Cup with Plastic Lid (we only have one-cup measuring cups):
and a candy thermometer.
And I have my eyes on this waffle maker. I have another CSN review I can do, so maybe I will pick that!
I know we will love these items, especially the first two, since I already am a devoted Pyrex user.

Candy Thermometer, especially with Christmas only 4 months away. I love making homemade caramels and other candies–and my candy therm broke!
I would like to try the candy thermometer so I could make you some vegan fudge. : ) Does sucking up help? A candy thermometer is one of those things that I would like to have but probably not bother to pick it up because I don’t use it taht much.
Hahaha, you should totally get the waffle maker then we can be waffle maker twins!
I, however, could always use more sizes of mixing bowls. Especially glass ones. I like that they could also double as serving bowls and storage bowls.
The mixing bowls, for sure. My kitchen is full of hand-me-downs so it would be nice to have something new!

I’d totally go for the mixing bowls. I got some pyrex containers for christmas this year and I LOVE them. We could really use some nice glass mixing bowls!!
Man, you have a good selection of stuff! I’d go for the mixing bowls. I only have one small one and one giant one, and it kinda limits what I can make!
I’d go for the bowls! I need more pretty mixing bowls… that aren’t retro looking with burnt orange and lime green color schemes… lol
The mixing bowls FOR SURE!! I need those! They are awesome! Some of the mixing bowls in my cupboard are leftover from catered events that were going to be thrown away but which I saved…they are meant to be disposable but are durable enough to be washed so I keep them. I would love to use them for something else. (like filling my recycling bin)
i’d like the Pyrex Smart 6 Piece Mixing Bowl Set and i’d use it for salads, mixing cornbread and meatloaf and leftovers.

I love the glass bowls. I’m slowly replacing our plastic with glass.
I can’t make candy to save my life but I don’t have a candy thermometer so Thats what I want. Maybe it would help me make some good candy!
The measuring cup! I don’t have one, and I have been trying to teach my daughter about measurements.

oooh!!! i do need those bowls…and i would use them for bread. i have none except the metal ones and we all know those aren’t for bread!
for me, it would be the bowls. I am definitely needing some nice mixing bowls, and Pyrex products are great quality and have been around for ages.
I love the candy thermometer! I’ve skipped recipes where one was required before because I was afraid of ruining them.
I would want the glass measuring cup. I would use it for heating liquids up in the microwave and measuring the hot ingredients for recipes. I don’t like to heating things up in plastic.
I think I’d go for the measuring cup–looks like a nice one!
