Intruder alert!
On Friday night we were telling Anne and Terry we installed a camera in our attic to track any critters in there. And that since we put it in, there hadn’t been any activity.
Yeah, you know where this is headed.
Steven informed us Saturday morning that we had a visitor.
Aww, but he’s having so much fun!
As adorable as flying squirrels are, we don’t want them living in our attic. The reason we spent all of August 2016 tearing out our second floor ceiling (and some of the walls) and redoing it, along with the HVAC and electrical, was because flying squirrels had taken residence in our attic while our home sat vacant for 2-3 years. AND THEY PRETTY MUCH DESTROYED IT.
We don’t want a repeat of that. We’re going to find someone to humanely relocate them.
Noooooooo! Not an intruder! I wonder how he got in – you guys seemed to have everything sealed off so well! I hope you’re able to get him out before he can cause any trouble!
I wonder too! Steven found a few small holes yesterday in the fascia. Maybe there’s a huge hole in the roof they’re getting in through, that we can’t see. I hope not!
He looks like he is having fun at least. Hopefully someone can get him out of there quickly!
He really does seem to be!
It would be better if he wasn’t having so much fun jumping into your insulation ball pit! Your attic is REALLY attractive to squirrels, isn’t it?! Hope he gets relocated quickly…and he hasn’t spread the word to his buddies about your squirrel version of Chuck E Cheese.
It must be! I knew we shouldn’t have had the insulation ball pit, game room, and prizes. Ha ha ha. Sigh.
Wait, that’s footage from your attic?? Is it trying to fly into the insulation?
It is. It’s a cut from a longer clip of him playing in front of the camera, and jumping in and out of the insulation.
OMG! Oh no! He does look like he’s having fun, though, doesn’t he?
Sure seems to be!
I’m just glad it wasn’t a ghost 🙂
I’d prefer the ghost – I am assuming they don’t poop or pee? Ha ha.
They might if they’re vengeful spirits!
Oh wow… they found their way in again. Sounds like a relocation is in order.
It is! We caught one yesterday and had him relocated. I hope he didn’t have any friends!
