How I love thee, firefox
Is anyone else using wordpress (and sitemeter?) getting a lovely error message like this when the open their site in Internet Explorer?
Well, I am.
Most of you come from a reader, so you may not notice the problem, but I am going to see what I can do to fix it.
(Or you could just use mozilla firefox. Go ahead, download it!)
I just spent an half hour trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with my site in IE last night too. Stupid IE and Sitemeter….I was overjoyed that my first guess was the correct one!
I’m not getting that, but at home I Firefox. Still, when I got here that box made me panic a bit, til I noticed it was for IE. IE doesn’t work as well w/wordpress.
People still use IE? Wow. I’m such a Firefox girl.
I don’t really like SiteMeter stats anyhow.
Hilly – I wonder if there are going to put up a fix? I think I’ll look into it… the next time I’m not feeling so lazy!
Cheryl – Yeah, I shouldn’t have put that box up. Because it still looks like an error. Ha ha.
sizzle – I know, right? IE?!?!?! Isn’t that from the stone age or something? And… what do I need stats for anyway? Ha ha. Why do I even care about that?
Too funny! When I saw that, I thought it was another problem again, and not that you posted about it!
tori – I better hurry up and post something new so people don’t get confused! Even I am! I don’t think I should post until I catch up on comments and on other people’s blogs!
Is that a rich and famous movie star driving that awesome car?
mom – It must be! Who else could afford it? 😛
IE is the biggest, giant piece of poo that frequents the interwebs. My blog is somewhat broken in IE 6. It works in IE 7 without issue.
Firefox and Safari are my friends.
martymankins – I 100% agree. Why is IE so crappy?! What is the deal with that?
IE is crappy because (as Dave2 will also tell you) it was never coded to web standards, so when any changes needed to be made, it was thrown together. This is why there are so many settings needed for web designers and developers to make things work in IE that browsers like Safari and Firefox don’t need.
martymankins – I just wonder why they don’t take the time to fix it. I guess enough people don’t care and still use it.
well no, but my mysterious internet thing is that i was SUBSCRIBED to you, like as soon as you got a feed? And then for awhile i wasn’t getting any new entries from you and i was like, i hope she’s okay. Come to find out that i had somehow been spontaneously no longer subscribed!! I have missed all this stuff, catching up now. GAH, wtf.
Catherine – That’s weird! Oh well, at least you got it all figured out now 🙂
