Notes:

  • Gah, what a difference cooler temps make! My Tuesday morning run felt so easy, and it was at a faster pace for me. Thank you, 50 degree temperatures. Now… let’s just keep them dropping… ha ha ha. Next week, not looking so great.
  • It was so nice to go on a bike ride with Steven on Friday night! And then follow it up with Asian food take out. Ha ha.
  • And! Fun to run with so many people this week! I am spoiled! I wasn’t expecting to run with xaarlin on Saturday, and that was great! Especially since she is probably pacing me for a marathon in November…
  • My mileage the past few weeks have been a bit over 40, and I keep thinking, “I wonder if I will get to 50 soon!” Derp. Then I realized, if I counted Sunday- Saturday instead of Monday-Sunday, I would be at 54.1 for the week. Ha ha. If you count weekly mileage, from which day to which day is it?
  • My strength classes this week were almost 100% instruction. Most of the time, the class is following me and I (selfishly) get a workout too. So, I decided to do a little strength workout in the studio Sunday after a consultation with a new client.

  1. I can’t wait to try your class when I return!!! I may need a 4:30am “GET YOUR BUTT UP” text though. 😉

  2. I can’t wait for the cooler temps down here! They’ll be coming eventually. Yay for bike riding! Isn’t it amazing how great of a workout it is but how different it is than running? I feel like I could just do it forever. I count my miles Monday-Sunday because I always think of my Saturday Sundays as a unit. You are clocking some really serious mileage! Are you doing a training plan? What race are you training for in November?

    • kilax says:

YES! It is amazing! Sigh. I just want to ride it ALLLLLL the time 🙂 I need to work a long ride in to my schedule soon!

I am… not really doing a training plan. I bumped in to one I liked and think I might take a workout or two from it, but I kind of just do things really randomly. I should probably focus more! I am training for the Naperville (Chicago suburb) marathon. A friend of mine hooked me up with a free entry! I am not sure why I chose the marathon and not the half. LOL.

I am SOOO looking forward to the cooler temps, although this weeks beginning will start steamy. Another great week in the books for you girl!!

I was also going to comment that you definitely had lots of company this week! It’s great huh! I do still love my solo runs but I think about 75% social and 25% alone would be perfect for me.

    Congrats on a successful week!

  5. Pete B says:

I count my mileage from Sunday to Saturday. I think that’s how my Garmin training center program counts it.

  6. bobbi says:

I got to see you so much! 🙂 YAY!

I count weekly mileage from Monday to Sunday (mostly because that’s how daily mile tracks it). And I think it’s cheating (for me) to bust my weekends in half, because I don’t always do my long run on the same day. So if there’s a week I run long on Sunday followed by a week with a Saturday long run, it’ll look like I had a kick ass mileage week when that isn’t really accurate…

    • kilax says:

It’s definitely not accurate if that is not your normal long run day, but I still think it’s worth recognizing when on the Saturday of that week you are all “what the eff, legs?!” ha ahahahhahahjahlkjjljsd a

I need another PRing in seeing Bobbi week!

  7. abbi says:

Cooler temperatures definitely help to make a great week. I’ve always counted Monday – Sunday!

  8. Xaarlin says:

I LoVED running with you Saturday! I’m so happy we get to do it again in a few short months! (And then you are all mine for 26.2 miles!!) hehe

  9. Michele says:

I cannot WAIT for the cooler temps!! It is still a little warm for my liking here. Ugh!

  10. Erin says:

You did strength all on your own?? Look at how far you’ve come 🙂
