I forgot it’s photo day
Somehow, I managed to forget that the appointment I made to get a new government ID this morning requires my photo being taken. If I would have remembered, I would have spent a little more time getting ready this morning.
What a great start to the week.
On the bright side though, I walked by a Crêpe restaurant on my way to get the new ID. Just knowing my office is that close to a Crêpe restaurant makes me happy. Strange – but I’ll take it.
Yum, crêpes. I think I’ve only ever had two – one in Paris, and one in Copenhagen. The one in Copenhagen was huge, filled with hot nutella oozing out of the edges, and folded into a big, chewy triangle. I’m going to spend the rest of the day fantasizing about that.
Update: I just found out I am getting introduced to 300+ people today at our “Town Hall Meeting.” Yay, the day just gets better!
Oh wow, I love crêpes yet have no idea where to find them here. There was a crêpe restaurant in Sacramento that I used to go to at least once a week. Mmmm, now I am so hungry.
Hilly – You must find a new crepe place, stat! Damn, I am still craving a crepe, 7 hours later. I am in the car with Steven, describing my dream crepe to him while he drives.
My dad used to make these crepes for special occasions… sinful.
I hate being the new kid in class. Get the guy to buy you some crepes to celebate.
Holy crepe (ha)! That’s it, you & me & the boys need to go to Le Creperie sometime. It is my absolute FAVORITE place for crepes! Unfortunately, it’s not in a very convenient part of the city…(on Clark street, just south of Wrigleyville)…but you guys would fight traffic for crepes, RIGHT??? 😉
Mmmmmmm…………. We love crepes!!!
Oh sure, now I’m hungry for crepes. 🙂
crepes, close to the office, am I hearing “lunch date”
🙂
Are you guys doing the smart cards at work? I finally got mine a few weeks ago and oh boy is that picture terrible. I think the camera was set for someone much shorter, because it’s basically a picture of my neck and chin with my eyes and the rest of my face teeny, tiny things at the top of the picture. I don’t know what they were thinking, it’s not much of an ID if it barely looks like an actual person.
There is (was? I haven’t looked in a long time) a creperie near my house that served just so-so crepe meals, but their desserts were amazing. Nothing beats a crepe with Nutella and fruit!
i have never had a crepe but they sound absolutely sinful!!! i’m sure you looked great in your picture!!!!
=^..^=
I love crêpes. So tasty. And while most places in the US make damn fine crêpes, I would love to someday experience them in a european city.
crepes actually have their own restaurant?
I say that because I don’t think I have actually ever seen one, so thank you for the picture!!!
Oh and picture day: I always hate knowing when picture day actually is because my hair decides to go bad.
Nat – Do you ever make them? I would love to learn how. My grandma makes something that my husband THINKS is a crepe, but is in fact, NOT. It’s still good, but I don’t have the recipe for the type of crepe I described.
diane – Hell yeah we will! If by fight traffic, you mean park our car somewhere near your home and take public transit 😉
Denise – I’m STILL hungry 😉
de – We should. It will be our second try for crepes.
Jenn – We are doing the smart cards. I hope mine doesn’t have the same problem yours does! Are you going to look for a crepe place in WA? 😉
CourtneyInControl – You HAVE to eat one. Yum!
martymankins – If I try one there, I will have to compare it to my European ones. Where you are probably does affect how things taste to you. 🙂
Felicia – I think there are quite a few in Chicago! I tried to meet a friend at another one once, but it was closed that day.
Oh my gosh, crepes?!?! They completely remind me of France and especially Lourdes, France…delicious. I’m officially jealous 😉
Bethany – See – you know what I am talking about, and how wonderful they are! Are you drooling yet?
