Yoga Mat Bag Giveaway
Awhile ago, when I wrote about being too distracted for yoga, Lauren told me she finds it much easier to focus in a yoga studio, and invited me to join her at a session! We had it all planned out, but then the snowpocalypse hit, I was trapped in my house, and had to cancel.
When I was asked Lauren what to bring to class, one of the things she mentioned was my yoga mat. Then I realized I didn’t have a yoga mat bag. What the hell was I going to carry my yoga mat downtown in?! Duh, Kim, duh.
So I ordered a yoga mat from amazon. Voila:
And I ordered an extra one, in dark blue, to giveaway! Because maybe someone else is like me – has a yoga mat, but no bag.
It’s mesh, with a zipper down the side, fits a typical 24″ wide mat, and has a little pocket inside. But is dark blue.

My favorite exercise to do on my mat is down dog – because it makes such a difference to have my feet not sliding around in this pose! With my feet stuck firmly to the mat, I get such a good stretch in my legs.

i am trying one of my first yoga classes on monday, so i’m not quite sure what my favorite move is….YET
I l-o-v-e the downward dog pose… it feels so good to have everything stretching like that. Side note, your pictures are so cute that you post!!!

Ha, the last two pictures crack me up. That’s totally something I would do.
I have a strap to carry my yoga mat. That being said,I carried it to campus and haven’t brought it back. I probably should bring it home and, you know, use it. I use the mats at the gym for sit-ups and planks.
I have a yoga mat but no yoga mat bag! I always carry it awkwardly in my gym bag. I love to do pigeon pose or runners lunge in yoga! Those two really help my hips feel better!
There is no way I am passing this one up! Can you believe after seven years of yoga, I actually do NOT have a yoga bag for my mat? It’s true!
My favorite pose lately is natarajasana – dancer pose. But I finally accomplished crow last weekend, so that’s been a new fave, too.
I get a kick out of locust pose! 🙂
I currently use an old canvas belt to create a pseudo mat strap. Not ideal so a bag would be nice.
My fave yoga position is pigeon pose. No better stretch.

haha cute pix! My favorite pose is pigeon, it usually hurts (in a good way!) at first, but I love how it stretches everything out.

My favorite pose is dancer pose – which is ironic because I’m not much of a dancer. If you come down to visit me one weekend, we can hit up a hot yoga class! I can get ya in for FREE!

My favorite is Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose). I love the feeling of accomplishment I get from being in balance.
I’m in love with all the warrior poses. But I have a feeling that I will love crow when I get that advanced.

ooooo. I want one! I don’t have a mat, I don’t have a bag, and I don’t do yoga—YET! I need to, as I have horrible flexibility and I’m getting too many running owies. I would envision my favorite pose to be something where I lay on my bellie, at the end of the class, like a fat cat—exhausted from doing yoga;o Would that be the fat cat pose?
I like downward dog. But I have no mat, no bag and I suck at yoga. But I want to get better! And this would help 🙂

downward facing dog! I love the stretch! And I like how my mat prevents me from falling on my face!
Love the photos Kim and the competition. Hmmmm. It would be so easy to say Savasana pose (LOL) but as a runner I like the stretch Virabhadrasana II (Warrior II) gave me especially after a 50k race.
You know I hate yoga but I have been starting to do it more often and am not hating it as much now. I guess my favorite is any kind of ab stuff.
Ooooh, I’ve been needing a bag for my yoga mat forever. My favorite move? Savanyasa – am I allowed to say that? hahaha.

Currently my favorite pose is Half-Moon Pose or as they say in Sanskrit, Utthita Trikonasana.
