(Data doesn’t know how to play nicely)

You can watch this video to see how he feels about the monkey.

What does your pet destroy?

Data has a tendency to destroy stuffed animals, anything made of felt, anything made of fleece, couch pillows, most of his toys, Steven’s expensive shoes, the Garmin watch… Okay, he didn’t destroy all of those things, but the Garmin watch does have bite marks in the band. And some of our couch pillows are missing their corners because he chewed them off.

Data is not the only one who had fun yesterday. Steven also had a fun time destroying things – cake:

Barney:

and a Red Robin burger (although that’s a pic of my burger):

And I can FINALLY tell you what I got Steven for his birthday – an Intro to Road-Racing Class through the DriveTech Racing School. It’s actually a groupon that Erin pointed out to me, because she bought it for her husband too! They take a class, then get to drive a Porsche Boxster, Corvette, or Formula car on the track for 15 minutes.

I also bought Steven a fleece jacket and a sweater, but that is not very exciting!

Thanks for all of your comments yesterday, wishing Steven a happy birthday! He felt really honored that so many people left him birthday wishes, and he left a thank you comment in there.

The winner of the Live, Laugh, Love Necklace is #20 – Stephany! Stephany, please email me your mailing address and I will send the necklace your way!

That’s a really cool present – and fun that they can do it together!
Willow (the dog we had) used to destroy stuffed toys and I had a really fun photo study of all of the destruction 🙂

I love the Data video! I should take a video of Delilah with a new toy. She gets a little crazy but it’s fun. She is pretty good about not destroying my things (but she did eat the plastic ear piece off my old glasses) but really does a number on any stuffed toy she can get her paws on. She’s fairly trainable though and will usually leave something alone if we tell her to (unless it’s edible).

That is a very cool present! I bet Steven will have a blast.

I love the Data video, too. My cats have destroyed our couch and armchairs with scratching. Prolly time to buy a new scratching post.

Dot eats socks and sweaters and any sort of string/ribbon. Dash has taken to eating the Christmas tree. Jeez! This is why we can’t have nice things. 😉

Happy Holidays to you and Stephen!

  5. Rocky will destroy everything that he can when it’s presented to him. He loves ripping things totally apart. Thank goodness he’s not one to ingest stuff, he just like shredding it to pieces. I’ll buy him cheap stuffies just for that purpose.

I love that you all went shooting and there was a Barney target! So fun!

Happy Birthday Stephen! I hope you guys have a fab time off together!

LOL my animals attack many, many things 🙂

  7. Erin says:

Spot wasn’t a destroyer (unless you count peeing on things). As Ashley got older she started eating random stuff (if I name any of it it would be TMI). Trinka Deu was our worst offender until she got older and more settled. The worst was when she shredded our down comforter. Jason took a picture but I think I deleted it while I was still traumatized.

I love how in the video Data is like la la la la OOOOH monkey!!

    BEST PRESENT EVER!!!!!

    Nice cluster on Barney!

  9. gina says:

Sweet gift! And the intro class is not to shabby either :D!

I like how Data so non-chalantly kicks the crap out of the monkey. He’s like ho hum..BAM!

    Manny destroys furniture.

Do you think Steve would like that class?

Can you imagine Manny and Data alone in a house together? Dun dun dun…

    Love that present! Very cool!

I love Data – that video reminds me of when we had cats. They would face each other like crazy ninjas, standing on their back lags and waving their paws around, randomly swatting at each other’s heads. Loved watching them!

YAY! I won, I won, I won! 🙂 Email is headed your way!!

  12. martymankins says:

OMG… I wish i still had a cat that played like that. I loved watching Data attack the monkey.

  13. Melissa says:

Our dogs (and my parents’ dog) destroy all stuffed toys, so we’ve quit buying them! Although we got a “free” Serta sheep stuffed animal when we bought our mattress and gave it to them and they didn’t want anything to do with it. The three dogs also destroy most rubber toys too…WTH? Two jack russell terrier mixes and a beagle mix so not huge dogs…it’s so weird!

  14. kaylen says:

    LOVE Data!!!
My cats don’t really attack things randomly and are pretty good about just attacking their own toys.
But if I leave any dresser drawer open about 1/2 an inch, I can be assured that my Data-look-alike-cat Whiskers will dig some things out of the drawer. He’s famous for pushing things off shelves so he can lay down on it so I think he might just be trying to move things so he can maybe make room for himself. Nothing like coming home to find half your panty drawer is on the floor…
