Fitness Forecast

I was checking the 10-day forecast on weather.com and noticed their “Fitness Comfort” scale, and that is listed a number next to each day of the week. I haven’t seen this before.
Um… apparently it is going to be “Uncomfortable” to work out all week in Round Lake? I was thinking Tuesday looked pretty good!
I decided to search another zip code to see where I need to be for it to be comfortable.
The ratings are high for Phoenix, but that seems too hot for me!
I guess it’s all relative?
Relative to how crazy you are?
Where do you check the weather?

Ha ha! I love the fitness forecast. Although I think it defaults to “uncomfortable” if it’s anything but 70 degrees and sunny. 🙂
I was on the way home from the gym last night and saw two people running outside in the cold/snow/dark and muttered to myself that they were out of their minds. Um, oops. 😉
I’ve never seen that before! I wonder what it thinks of DC weather. I couldn’t find the fitness forecast!
I couldn’t find it either! This is the first time I noticed it for where I live – maybe it is a new thing and only available in certain cities?
That is super funny – I have never seen that fitness forecast! I am sure it says it is uncomfortable here too!
I guess it is too hard for people to figure out themselves what temperature they think is comfortable?
Um yeah what kind of fitness are we talking about? Monday-Wednesday look fine to me as for Phoenix I agree too hot for running.
Tuesday is almost above freezing! That’s totally comfortable!
I use Weather Underground for the most part but I do like the 10 day forecast on weather.com.
I haven’t seen the fitness forecast before either, but it’s kind of cool. Like you though, I’m not sure I agree. I’d much rather run when it’s 30 than 70.
My standard weather checks right now are Indianapolis IN (home), Houston TX (flight connection), Lafayette LA (work), Oblong IL (hometown), and Apple Valley CA (where we’re spending Christmas). 🙂
That’s crazy! Why do we live somewhere where it is cold and snowy and “uncomfortable”?? 🙂

TX is being a bit schizo on the weather front LOL
So it will be nice and “cold” for Christmas 😉
I’ve never looked for the fitness forecast – but I guess I don’t check the weather very often, since now I always know it’ll be warm and sunny 🙂
Getting off of the plane at my connection at MDW was SOOOO cold this week!!
