Things I’m excited about in October!
How is Monday October 1?!
Our October is going to be nutso, but in a good way. I’m excited for all our fun plans! Here’s what I’m looking forward to (in mostly chronological order):
- Putting all my fall decorations out
- Hanging up Data’s custom water color portrait
- Gina and family visiting (and doing fall and running activities!)
- Seeing A Star is Born
- The crazy hobby-horse half marathon (no, I haven’t practiced running with one!)
- Seeing my family at a wedding
- Anne and Terry visiting (and maybe going to the Dungeon of Doom?! AHH!!!)
- Christina and family visiting (and doing Halloween/fall activities and house projects!)
- Comfortable running temps
- Playing with the kittens and (most of) our guests meeting them for the first time!
What’s on YOUR list?!
Wow, you’ve got big plans for October – my favorite month, BTW… I’m looking forward to my birthday (that might have something to do with why it’s my favorite month – ha!), a short vacation at the Belgian coast with one of my best friends, a concert and a dance performance…and just hanging out with my kids and Stefaan. October is going to be a great month! 🙂
Ooo, that is definitely part of why it’s your fave month! Yay! Sounds like fun plans. Are you going to a new-to-you place on the coast?
I forgot that you were doing that race. You mean you haven’t been training your stead smh lol! I think all I have is a 5k (fun run for Dias de los Muertos) and maybe a camping trip to Sequoia National Park.
I have not! Ha! I am too lazy.
Oh fun! Are you running in costume?! 😉
I totally forgot about the hobby horse marathon! I’m so excited to hear how it goes.
Do any of your months not feel nutso? You’re always quite busy (in a good way?).
Me too. Ha.
Yeah, we didn’t have plans every weekend in July and September! 🙂
I’m excited to finally adopt some kitties in October! I ordered everything I need, so I think I’m really, really ready to make this happen. YAY.
YAY!!!!!! I am so excited for you!
Um yes, we definitely need to go to the Dungeon of Doom! And/or any other kind of fall activity – I’m game! And Terry has no choice, ha! 🙂
We just planned a weekend trip to a big state park in southern Ohio for the end of the month, which I’m really excited about. It’s supposed to be really good for hiking, and fall foliage should be at its peak here then.
It looks like the weekend we are thinking about going is Prime Days (so more expensive, of course)! It opens at 6 pm or 7 pm and it looks like you just get in line and wait unless you buy the line cutter ticket: https://dungeonofdoom.com/tickets/. Maybe there is another promo code somewhere.
Awesome! That sounds like a lot of fun!
omg I forgot about your hobby horse half marathon! I am SO EXCITED to hear how it goes! Has your horse been constructed yet?
I don’t think it has (my mom is making it). She’ll probably do it the night before, ha!
What a fun October you have planned! My list included getting that dastardly TSA precheck done (today, with a five hour roundtrip drive) and then flying to Cali on Halloween. Hmmm, wonder if the flight attendants will pass out Halloween candy instead of pretzels??
Gah, what a drive! And was the appointment the as advertised twenty minutes?!
Ha! I hope they do! Will you be in costume?!
