Instant gratification, I needz it
Two days.
Sigh.
Two days – that is all I lasted from buying something for Steven for his stocking, to giving it to him. (Note: it’s not Christmas morning ha.)
Ugh. And I thought I was trying so hard. I really wasn’t, leaving it on my desk and thinking about it each time I saw it.
Everything I buy from now on goes in to the guest bedroom – out of sight, out of mind!
The item (it’s an inside joke for a couple of reasons)
At least I was able to wait to post this – I actually wrote it yesterday! Woo hoo! Baby steps.
I am exactly the same. Or I’ll give hints that
lol eventually lead to being…you guessed it (but they didn’t really). Gift giving is very exciting ha ha.
LOL! It’s hard when you’re so excited, right?!
I came SO CLOSE to caving on giving someone a gift a few weeks ago. I bought it back in August because I knew they really wanted it but weren’t able to find it at the event we were at (I was able to find it online later – sneaky sneaky!). It’s been tucked away ever since, but a few weeks ago they were talking about that item and how they were bummed they couldn’t get it. It was all I could do to not give it to them immediately! But I held out, so hopefully it’ll be that much better on Christmas.
Oh wow! They are going to be SO stoked when you have it at Christmastime!!!!!!!!!!!! Good work!
Too funny! Michael’s bday is actually a few weeks before Christmas, and I asked him over the weekend “Do you want an early birthday present?!?!” – hoping that he’d say yes. He, obviously, has more will power/discipline than I, because he said “no”. Dangit! Why do I have to wait until your birthday?!
Ha ha ha! Steven is always trying to get me to open my birthday presents early! And I always want to wait. I guess I should keep that in mind when I want to give someone something early, ha ha ha.
