Too soon!
Ha!
But at least now I know where to take ours!
I ran by this sign in the forest preserve next to our house this morning, so, yay for tree drop off being so close! The last time we had a real tree, we dropped if off at a (different) forest preserve, as well. I think it’s cool they chip the trees and use them for the trails and landscaping – that could be YOUR Christmas tree you’re running on!
Oh, I love that the trees get recycled and used in the forest preserve. That’s awesome! And even though it seems too soon, it’s good that they’re so on the ball with it. This way, plenty of people will know in advance where they can take their tree, instead of just leaving it on the sidewalk (though I guess you don’t have sidewalks in your immediate neighborhood).
That is what Steven and I were discussing – now people will have an idea well in advance that they can do this!!! (And in case the signs get covered in snow, ha). I also love that they are recycling them 🙂
I think I will still see if our garbage removal place takes trees (by leaving them on the street), out of curiosity!
Our city picks up the trees curbside and chips them, too. Not sure when we are going to get a tree yet, too busy with other stuff!
Maybe too soon, but it’s good to know where the tree drop off is before you run around town with a brown needle dry tree leaving it’s wake all over the place.
