The best thing about work travel…
(Or any travel)
… is the opportunity to run someplace new!
I’m in Cincinnati for work and had time for a short run this morning. And bonus – I’ve never run in Ohio before so I get to add that to my “states run in” list (I also ran through Kentucky today, but I’d run there before, also on work travel).
I wasn’t sure how safe it would be to run alone, but I talked to the front desk about it, and they said it was safe, and then I saw A LOT of runners out – yay! I wish I would have had time to run farther!
Now, let’s hope my work day goes as fast (and is as enjoyable?) as this run did (was)!
This is so cool!
Oh cool! Glad you were able to find a safe place to run! And it’s about time you added the Buckeye State to your list ๐
Me too! And, right? It’s crazy I haven’t run in OH until now. I haven’t spent much time there at all.
The bridges are really cool aren’t they!! You are doing well with the states too ๐
They are! They looked so pretty lit up in the dark ๐
yay for another state ๐
Wow, cool! And very smart of you to ask about it being safe at the front desk ๐
Yeah – I am not one to be nervous about running alone or anything, but thought I should check! ๐
Yes! I love adding new states to my Place I’ve Run list. I went on super short runs in Mississippi and Louisiana when I went to New Orleans/Jackson in February just so I could add them to my lists ๐ But it’s such a cool way to see somewhere new, and I think it makes running even more fun when you get to explore new scenery.
You’d regret it if you hadn’t run there! This is such a quick way to see a lot of the city when I was there just over 24 hours!
Time to add California to your list! ๐
Do you have a goal of hitting all 50, or is it simply to track what you’ve done for fun?
Yes! We want to go, and now I need to make sure we do before you guys move!
Hmmm. It would be cool to hit all 50 before I die! But I mostly track for fun ๐
