Random Thoughts Thursday 116

- Today is my ten year anniversary of the date I started running. Woot woot!
- Our friend (and old neighbor) Jen alerted me to a deal for some outdoor heated cat houses and VERY generously bought one for us! We bought another so each cat could have their own. Of course, they sleep on top of each other, in one of them! The house has a heated pad underneath the white top you can see in the photo, and plastic flaps at both entrances (there is one on each side so they can escape out the back if a predator shows up) to keep the heat in.
- We typically do one side of the family’s holiday celebration in December and the other side in January, but this year we are doing both in December, and one of the celebrations will be here! This means we get to Christmas the hell out of the house! Woo hoo!
Steven brought home ALL the holiday decorations yesterday.
- Denali (the dog) showed up yesterday. We haven’t seen Denali since mid May! Hope he/she leaves the cats alone… they didn’t welcome the visit.

YAY Christmas!!!! Terry felt that we didn’t have enough decorations last year, so I’m excited to get more and Christmas the hell out of our house too 🙂 (and in time for Thanksgiving, which is also Christmas with my family)

That will be FUN! Hobby Lobby had their decor on 50% off last week! I wonder if they will do that again! I’m excited to see how you set it up!

Those heated cat houses are pretty cool. Now my cat is glaring at me – I stuffed a towel inside a chip box from Sam’s Club and that’s his “heated house” in the garage…it’s not been cold yet, but it will get cold this winter.

Thanks! Some of those boxes are Halloween decorations too, and three of the boxes are Hallmark ornaments! I actually have a big mish mash of stuff and it won’t be a very cohesive look. But! I am excited we have an open stair I can put garland on! And a fireplace for the stockings!
LOL! Your set up in the garage sounds good! Although you could always pamper him with a heating pad 😉

Yeah, it made me laugh… then I was worried she couldn’t get down, but she did okay! Phew!
Ooh… those outdoor cat houses look so nice! But how like cats for them to share the one house when you went through the effort to get a second one 🙂

And cats going up trees to get away from dogs. That happens at our house when my step daughter brings over her pure bred vizsla. He’s full of energy and seeing the cats just increases that energy.

Oh man! Are they able to get down on their own?
Most of the time, they wait it out until they know the dog is gone then they climb down. Our older cat Rocko needed help back years ago, but our Tabby is almost 6 and pretty agile with the up and down climbing.
