Notes:t
- I rode Day 7 of RAGBRAI with my dad, my brother-in-law, his sister and her daughter, and my bestie Gina, and it was SUCH a blast. We’re already talking about riding a day again next year. I can’t wait to go through all the photos and put my recap together! (I really hope I have time to do that this week – it’s going to be nuts catching up at work then tearing apart our second floor ceiling and doing all that work.)
- Time for the July recap! In July I ran 155 miles, cycled 139.05 miles (9 indoor rides, 1 outdoor ride) and swam laps 5 times. I taught 9 strength classes and 1 fitness boxing class, and did 1 strength session at home. My coldest outdoor run was 56°F and my warmest was 87°F.
- I am excited that I consistently swam every Friday in July. The pool has a punch card where after you pay for five swims you get a free one – that will be the next one I do!
You rock! Especially the swimming – good job! My goal has been to swim once a week since I had my hamstring tendinosis flare up – and it’s been tough to stick to it, since swimming isn’t my favorite activity. But I do feel so much better when I’ve done it. I wish my pool had the five swims/one free deal that yours does – that would be extra motivating!
What is your pool like? I really like using this outdoor pool in the summer, but haven’t found a good option for the winter that is not too expensive!
Yay for the free swim! That’s nice incentive 🙂 That’s a pretty big range of temperatures for July.
Yeah, I have been pleasantly surprised by the “cooler” temps (the humidity is usually still ridic!).
Not only did you consistently swim, but you consistently didn’t lose your card! 🙂
Oh no! Can you still not find yours?
I can’t wait to read about your RAGBRAI experience! And great job with swimming. Are you sure that you don’t want to race a tri?!
Thanks!
Yeah, I am sure. Right now it’s not something I think I would enjoy 🙂 I am fine just being mediocre at one thing (running), lol.
You know you just amaze me!! Great month.
I can’t believe how many days blogging i missed. I think i am all caught up now 🙂
