Things I’m excited about in February!
- Moving (at some point)!
- Taking a few days off work to settle in at the new house (and finally showing it to you guys!!!). The long Presidents’ Day weekend.
- Seeing my parents… when they come to help with the move… I hope?! Ha!
- Seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens again (haven’t seen it since December 31st!!!).
- Spending time with friends.
- Watching the Olympic Marathon Trials on February 13th.
- Valentine’s Day boxing class! I’ve been working on a fun playlist. (And really, I am excited for all my classes.)
- Setting up our home gym at the new house!
- An already scheduled pre-race massage, and
- My first race of the year!
- Documenting house projects/doing projects with Steven! I’ll explain more after we close, but we got a special type of loan that includes money for home improvements that will begin shortly after we move in! And there are MANY projects that Steven and I will do together (now, and over the years!).
- And… seeing what the month brings!
What are you excited about in February?
I can’t wait for you to finally close and move, I know that’ll cut a lot of stress out!
Yay, I’m excited for Star Wars, boxing and hanging out with you guys more!!! 🙂
Hmm, and non-Kim related stuff… my parents are visiting later this month, so I’m taking time off to go to the orchid show at the Botanic Garden with my mom, and we may go to Milwaukee too.
It really will! I hope we find something out this week! (And I hope we can plan our second date night of February with you guys when I know what the hell is going on with my weekends! 🙂 )
Oh fun! I really hope they have better weather for this visit!!! I bet the orchid show will be really neat!
What an exciting month ahead for you! When we bought our first house, I took pictures all along the way of the build and then all the improvements (landscaping, especially), decorating, just everything – it still is fun to look back on that era, and I’m betting you’ll do the same. Enjoy the process!
Yeah, that is the plan! I am really looking forward to seeing how it changes! My snister and her husband have been fixing up their home in KC since they bought it in Nov 2014 and I love seeing the befores and afters 🙂
I am also excited about having the 15th off! I will probably just sleep and clean the house, but I’m okay with that.
Next weekend my friend Angela is having her annual “Treasure Mapping” party, where a bunch of ladies get together and drink wine and make our annual vision boards. It sounds a bit “woo woo”, I imagine, but it’s one of my favorite traditions. So I’m excited for that!
And the Oscars! I’m skipping the parties, but I love the excitement and…let’s be honest, the dresses. 🙂
That sounds like great use of an off day. And that Treasure Mapping party sounds fun! I would get pumped up seeing what all my friends were planning for the year!
I was thinking about the Oscars after I posted this! Are they 2/28? I wonder if we’ll have antenna by then so I can watch! 🙂
Lots of things already! I don’t have much planned yet this month, except continue training.
Yes, happy February! It’s crazy that we are already into the 2nd month of the year. I’m excited about skiing! Also, we continue to settle into our abode, and that’s awesome. I can’t say that I’m “excited” about building my base to swim/bike/run, but I am looking forward to not feeling so… soft, if that makes sense.
Yes! Skiing! Are you part of the snowstorm that is hitting today? I want to hear about your new place!
And looking forward to not feeling soft totally makes sense!
Yes – it is DUMPING in Boulder, which means that it is really snowing in the mountains which is so exciting! I’m gradually getting used to weather (after SoCal, where the question was “Is it going to be 70 or 75 today?” – not really, but almost!).
Oh good! I hope you have safe travels when you go to ski!
Ha ha, in my mind, you’re in CO and I completely forgot about CA already. Duh, Kim! That is quite the change!!!
Sounds like very exciting stuff!!! Home projects are always fun.
that is a lot to look forward to in one month! Very excited for you about your move, can’t wait to see the new place!
(I also need to see SW again this month. 1x was not enough.)
Last night was our third time seeing it! You catch so much more when you see it again! 🙂
Ooh, those are all good things about this month! (I guess some of them have already happened by the time I’m writing this post.)
My friend Esther is going to be running at the trials, so I’m especially excited to watch them this year!
I’m looking forward to seeing your new place (more photos anyway) and going to Japan!
That is so cool! I will have to watch for her – I can’t remember if they put women’s first or last names on their bibs. Seems like they do first names?
Thank you!
Yes! I am excited about your trip! Two weeks now?
