Finally out?!
Even though we moved in to our rental house two weekends ago, that doesn’t mean we were completely out of our townhome. Ha. Not at all. In fact, I think we’ve been over there every day since we “moved out,” except the days we were out of town in Dallas.
And going back and forth has been exhausting.
But last night, we took the last of our stuff and cleaned up. I think we are FINALLY out of there.
I thought I’d feel some sort of sadness over leaving my home of 8.5 years, but I didn’t at all. I am ready to get out of there and on to our next adventure. The rental is feeling like “home” for now, and even Data has found his groove there, too. As Gina said when I text her our last photo in our first home (below)… bye, Felicia! Ha!
Empty and ready for the next owners!
Okay, okay, there is ONE thing I will miss – my walk in closet. Cry. How does someone who doesn’t care about fashion have so much clothes?!?!?
It looks bizarro empty!! Esp the garage…
Ha! I am so happy to see it empty, that it looks just right, to me! 🙂
YAY!!!!!! I’m not surprised you’re not sad about leaving, even if you did live there for a long time. You’re moving on to a place you really love!
Yes! And I can’t wait to get there and do the FINAL set up! 🙂
P.S. Right after I wrote this, the basement at the rental had a water leak again AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. The rental and I are not on good terms right meow, ha.
Yay! On to new chapters! I can’t get over how clean it looks in there
It’s Steven’s vacuum lines that make it look so nice 🙂
Wow, weird to see right?
Yeah! But mostly awesome to see! We never thought it would sell, so we’re still kind of in shock from it (in a good way).
It’s always weird when I move out of an apartment. With everything out, the space seems so much smaller.
To me, it looks so much bigger with all my crap out of it! LOL
I agree with Bobbi! So weird to see it like that! Especially the garage. I was happy to see you remembered your bird feeders when I ran by this morning.
I can’t forget those! I love watching the birds (and so does Data, ha).
Ah, weird! I’m not going to see your old place again; next time I visit, it’ll be in your new house!
So you don’t have a big closet at your new place?
Do you think you’ll ever go by your old house? Is it on the way to anything where you can stop by and be like “Hi, old house!”? I’d probably do that, like a weirdo.
YES! Yay!
Ha! Not quite. No walk in. The closet situation is interesting. There is a big folding door closet, then this odd built in closest system, with a hidden cedar closet behind it… and hidden attic space behind THAT! We will have to reno that and make it something useful 🙂
We probably will! We are still friends with our neighbors (well, they lived a mile away) over there, and my friend Anne lives close by!
