Meet Fluffy
I arrived home from my trip Sunday to find Steven working in the garage on this:
Meet Fluffy, the cat!
I smiled so big when I saw he made me this for me while I was out of town! What a sweetie!
Steven’s had a MIG welder for awhile, and recently purchased a TIG welder so he could weld some different types of metals (and expand his tool collection, of course!). He wanted to work on his TIG welding skillz, which requires a lot of coordination and practice, so he made Fluffy! Fluffy is composed entirely from random parts and pieces Steven’s saved from various assembly kits (hope we don’t need any of those pieces in the future, ha ha!).
As suspected, Data does NOT like having a sibling.
Data was actually scared to eat his dinner around Fluffy. Oops. Guess we need to keep them separated for awhile!
How creative- it turned out great! Awesome job Steven!
Very cool gift! I love the photo of Data meeting his new sibling and hopefully they come to love each other 🙂
Now Steven needs to make a Fusilli Jerry! 🙂
LOL! With the welder?!
Hilarious! I love it. lol
Nice job, Steven!! Fluffy is awesome and I’m totes not surprised at Data’s dismay. Maybe he’ll get over it (or not).
Ha! You know Data – probably not 😉
That’s too cute!
That’s not Fluffy, it’s Data-Too. What a nice surprise for you!
Ha, OR, if you follow Star Trek, which Data is named after, it would be Lor 🙂
very creative
So fun! Hopefully Data will get used to Fluffy.
BTW – my first cat’s name was “Fluff”. So much for creativity from a 5-year-old!
Ha ha! Wait… are you saying we are not creative?! LOL. We did think it was funny to call a hard metal thing Fluffy 🙂
What a cute creation!! I love it 🙂 and Data’s picture made me chuckle.
Awh I love homemade gifts. So glad you two had such a nice time!!!!!!
Dang, I thought you got a new cat when I saw this post title! 🙂 Well I guess you sort of DID get a new cat. Your hubby is a very talented welder, wow!!
Ha ha! Sorry for the trick! Data will be an only child 🙂 He’s too set in his ways. 🙂
Thanks! He welded some more this weekend! He really enjoys it!
LOL at Fluffy being so-named. I didn’t realize (somehow…) that Steven was so good at making things! And that he made you such thoughtful gifts (How did I miss this?? I’ve been reading your blog forever!). What a sweet surprise to come home to, though not as cuddly as Data, I imagine. 😀
He is super crafty and loves to fix things himself (and take things apart, lol). Hee hee, it’s okay you missed it! 🙂 I mean, I can’t brag about him TOO much.
Funny thing, the space between our new washer and dryer is narrower than before, and that is where Data’s litter box is. So it was all slanted after we got our new washer. So Steven welded him a little stand this weekend, to even it out!
And he is not so cuddly! Did you see someone commented I should make a little teeny scarf for Fluffy? LOL! Each row would have two knits!
