Notes:
- Monday was NOT my day. Speedwork on the treadmill felt so hard (I have a theory that our treadmill is faster than it says. I’d like to think that is the reason I felt like I was about to fly off the back. Ha ha.), and I messed up the workout tracker on my phone during my bike ride. It made me feel stupidly frustrated.
- In fact, I felt a bit rushed and meh the first three days of the week. I knew I was trying to cram workouts in before I left for vacation on Wednesday night and that didn’t feel right!
- But! Everything was super relaxing and chill on vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Ahhhhh. It was my first time in Mexico! I absolutely loved running there! Our condo was really close to a bike trail that lead to several good places to run and I took advantage of it. It was so nice to run outside in a tank top and shorts!
I always avoid treadmills when possible…i think they are all a bit faster than they say they are because its always so much harder to run on them!!! I’d say it was a bit of a shock going from running in the snow to shorts and a tanktop 🙂
They all seem to be calibrated differently! I used to use the one in our office gym several years ago and it seemed so much easier than ours at home! Luckily the roads seem clear again now so I can go back outside!
Ha ha! I had been wearing shorts and a tank at the indoor track, but it was nice to feel a real breeze and the sun on my skin! 🙂
The treadmills at my gym say I did less mileage than my Garmin footpod. Therefore, I always use the Garmin footpod’s final mileage for my log!
Interesting! And the foot pod matches your satellites when you are outside?
I don’t like the treadmill but I have to use it. Hope you had fun on vacation.
Why do you have to use it? Because it’s too dark when you want to run? (Figured it wasn’t because the roads are covered in snow like they were here, ha ha!)
I have to mostly because of the weather. Dallas weather isn’t exactly runner friendly. I try to get outside when I can, but those days are few.
That is so awesome that it was in the 60s for running in Mexico! I think we ran in almost the same temps on Sunday! hahah.
It seems like it! Funny that we had the same temperature! Did yours feel like a warm oven door at midday, too? Ha ha!
Nope, no oven in Denver. It pretty much got to 65 and stayed there. 🙂
Years ago, we docked in Playa Del Carmen on a cruise. Our excursion was to swim in an underground lake. That was the neatest, freakiest, coolest thing I’ve ever done. And there was no easing in…you just had to jump in the deep black water (no natural light).
A cenote!!! Aren’t they super cool?! We visited one too, but luckily, it had a little dock to jump off of to get in! (I did climb a rock and jump off that too – scary!!!).
Wow, what a difference btw Tuesday’s picture and the one for Sunday – I bet it was awesome to have some great weather for a while!
It really was! I am not a winter hater, and don’t mind the snow and cold (even today, when it’s -5 degrees F right now, lol) but it was a nice break from it! 😀
