Four week streak!

Something awesome happened in July! I saw my parents every. single. weekend.
I don’t think that has happened since the last summer I lived in my hometown – 2003! And I didn’t know it was going to happen this July!
I had plans to see my family the first (Fourth of July) and last (RABGRAI) weekends of the month, and that was it. But when we were all together for the fourth, my snister told my mom she should ride with me, Steven and Rachel to Kansas City that next weekend, and my brother mentioned they were all going to a drag race the third weekend in July… so it all just worked out. What a fun month!
Last weekend I joked with my mom that we’ll probably both have withdrawal this weekend, and we better set up a phone call or something. Ha ha. Nah, we’ll be okay. I just feel really lucky I got to see my family so much this past month! And I already know I will see them the last two weekends of August!
Do you feel like you see your family the right amount? Not enough? Too much (hee hee)?

How fun! No, sadly I don’t see my family NEAR enough…since my folks moved to MN I see them even less-maybe 2-3 times per year, and my sister a handful of times which is not enough at all! I am super lucky to be seeing her tomorrow, and NEXT weekend tho, so YAY!!!!!!
Four weeks! That’s an amazing streak, especially since your parents are not local! Yay for getting to see them again twice in a few upcoming weeks. I only see my own parents maybe once every 4-6 weeks, even though they live relatively close. I think for me, it’s about the right frequency. Although, my parents feel that it’s not even close to being enough, LOL.

I think so 😉 Although my dad was so funny – I told him I saw him every weekend in July and listed what we were doing, and he was like “I didn’t see you in KC!” But he did… cause he dropped my mom off at the meeting place and picked her up. LOL.

I’m jealous. My parents live 900 miles away, so we see each other 3 times a year or so. Which, really, is a lot, I guess, considering they ARE so far away. But it’s not enough. I’m glad you were able to see your parents so much this past month – and that you appreciate it! =)
Do you fly or drive to see them?
That’s awesome! I wish I saw my family more. It’s easy with my parents, they’re retired and love coming into the city. But my brothers both have such busy schedules, it can be hard to see them.
I see my parents weekly; when I moved to Florida that was the toughest adjustment! I feel lucky to have them only 20 minutes away!
