Training Week 218
Highlight of the Week: Having Gina come to my strength class Monday night! Gina has always been supportive of my exercise escapades, and was really excited for me when I told her back in January I was going to become a personal trainer. After telling her so much about the studio and classes (and her always being such a great listener) it was cool to show it to her in person! Dammit, why do we live so far apart. Ha ha.

Notes:
- The beginning of the week was AWESOME because Gina was here and we did our workouts together. She even came to my class Monday night (and wrote a super nice review on her blog)! It’s so fun to have people visit who like to exercise, like Gina, my dad and Andrew. Working out with someone is such a great way to connect, especially if you are running and have that focused time just to chat.
- A bummer part of the week was that it snowed Monday night and we had freezing rain Friday morning so my classes were kind of small. Ha ha ha. I guess the bad part is for the people who do come to class – they really get an intense workout, because I can focus a bit more on each individual and push them harder!
- I remembered I am training for a half marathon and did a long run on Saturday! I ran with a ton of people from our club and was even able to pick up the pace for me a bit. It was a different feeling, since I have been running a slower pace, in the slushy snow! I actually felt sore when I went to bed Saturday night. Or maybe that was from prepping the workout I designed for Anne for our personal training session on Saturday. Hee hee hee. Anne and I planned a cookie baking day, and she asked for a personal training session before. Exercise followed by
a healthy lunch andeating cooking dough? Yes, puh-lease!
New Leaf Runners are everywhere 🙂
Oh, YOU’RE sore from Saturday???? Just imagine how I feel! And yet, I’m subjecting myself to your fitness wrath again tonight 😉
And whatevs, lunch was toads healthy since it was vegan (well, mine was almost vegan). And a healthy eating “tip” in Men’s Health this month was to have broccoli with jerk seasoning, so there you go.
Um… tonight will help workout the kinks? 😉 Or! Work out, to the Kinks! Yes, there is a song from the Kinks on there 🙂
Ha ha ha! Was that seriously a tip?! I am so ahead of them!
Working out the Kinks TO the Kinks – haha, love it!
Love the “hi” gloves. Those are hilarious! Glad you were able to have fun w/ your friend!
