Notes:
- Ha ha! The first three pics make it look like I always wear the same outfit. Well, I kind of do. That is what I wear to teach. And I taught two nights in a row this week.
- So… kind of funny story. Steven needed to take the car to the city on Tuesday after he dropped me off to teach, and I was all pumped to ride my bike home after teaching! Well, when we were putting air in my tires before we left the house, one tire would not accept any air. So we put the old tire on. Then when we got to the studio, I took my bike out, bounced it on the ground, and the other tire popped! Geesh! Ha ha. Those tubes/tires were NOT happy. Nbd though, I just ran home. Yeah. Running 8 miles after teaching two nights in a row was a bit exhausting. I had a HUGE protein shake when I got home! And made the executive decision to skip strength class on Wednesday night. Why is it though, that running 8 miles for transportation felt much easier than running 5 miles “for fun” two days later? From where do you “run home”?
- On Saturday I set out for a 25 mile bike ride with my multisport club… in the rain. We cut it short because riding conditions were not ideal. And someone in our group wiped out. Yikes! Luckily, he is okay.
- Yay! As I mentioned, I ran Ann’es last long run before the Chicago Women’s Half with her (and Bobbi!) on Friday! I am pumped to run the race with Anne!
- Did I mention to you guys that I am doing personal training with someone now? I thought I had, but when I mentioned it to two people this week, they said I hadn’t. OOPS! How could I NOT tell the internets everything?!
I had so much fun on Friday!! AND I got to spend the weekend not worrying about fitting in a long run, so I could drink beer and eat guacamole while watching the Hawks game Saturday night with John 🙂 THANKS!
That is a good way to start the weekend!
But! What happened last night?!?!??!!!!!
Aw, I think Friday’s run was the highlight of my workout week too! It’s been fun having you as a training buddy, I can’t wait for Sunday (I just got my bib email – ahhh, exciting!) 🙂
That’s so cool that you’re training someone now! If you ever need crazy training workout suggestions, I have plenty.
The picture of you with the bar is classic. Can you frame it for me? I’ll put it on my desk and every time I think of not studying, I will look at it.
I am so excited you have a client. You are awesome!
In other news, I am not sure I would have ran 8 miles home. I am lazy like that. I am not sure I’ve ever ran anywhere for transportation. Scratch that. I have ran Miles to my mother-in-law’s house, dropped him off (leaving the stroller) and ran home solo.
I most definitely will! That is the face I have the entire time I am teaching! How is studying? Three chapters left for me. UGHGHGHGHHGGHH
Thanks! 🙂
See! You have!
Oh, studying. I got through assessment chapters but have to go back through to take notes. Womp, womp, womp. Thinking of scheduling test to light fire under my butt.
That kind of helped me 😉
HATED the assessment chapters. HATED. The rest of the book is much more interesting.
I have run home from work once or twice – I enjoy it, although I’ve also gotten some catcalls which I don’t like at all! But it’s a great way to get home and can be as short as 3.5 miles or I can make into a longer workout.
Oh gosh. I totally got a catcall on my run home last Tuesday! What the eff, people?! Can I just run in peace? Don’t yell out of your car at me unless you KNOW me 😉
So cool that you ran home. I think I could see “running home” feeling easier than going out for a five mile run. You have an end goal and don’t have another way to get there.
Riding in the rain scares me! Good idea to cut your ride short. And I think the longest I’ve ever run from somewhere is maybe 6 miles? I’ve run TO places, though, and then taken the bus home. It’s fun! I like running as a form of transportation.
