Crazy cat ladies, unite!
Er… and crazy dog ladies* too… because you know you would wear this in dog print!
Oh gosh. So, on March 17, Erin sent me an email with the subject “Classy cat shirt!” and said “Yes, there is such a thing!” with a link to this top at The Gap. On March 22, Kelly pointed out the dress version of it…
Mind you, these are both dog lovers sending me these links!
It was a sign. I needed something in that print. So I posted on my blog Facebook page asking people which color of the top I should order.
But there was a problem.
They were sold out of the color I wanted, in my size, online.
And I STRONGLY avoid shopping.
I was all ready to order it, and everything. What a freakin’ bummer.
I forgot about it.
Until yesterday, when I got a package from Anne with the shirt! And a scarf**!
WHAT THE WHAT?! What an awesome, awesome surprise, from a wonderful friend***. Thank you, Anne!
So in case I haven’t already shown my crazy cat lady status loud and proud by having a video chat yesterday with Maggie, Olive and Data…

Would you wear a top with this type (and I’m not talking leopards or stripes, ha ha) of animal print?
I have so many bags with animals on them. And I use them! This is my first animal print top though. Loop Looks said it’s classy! Therefore… I will live in it. To increase my classiness level.****

That is really funny. I am not a big print person in my normal clothes. Running gear I’m more ok with going crazy. That is a nice friend you have! I really want a kitty!!

I actually like that top! I’d like to think that I’d have the guts to wear a print like that. I think it could work with some of those brightly colored jeans/pants that are everywhere–a bright pop of color to offset the strong pattern. But then again, I could totally be wrong on that one! 🙂
Rock it! Loft had a dress and shirt with cats on it about a month ago. And I just bought a shirt with scottie dogs on it from Kohl’s. I think the animal trend is here for a little while 🙂 I agree with Beth – red or bright colored pants would look great with that shirt.
I would WEAR THAT with all the enthusiasm I could muster. I like the dress version lots.

You crack me up. Seriously. I have a crack in my posterior now. I am a dog person by default, I guess, since I have one but I never, ever wear a big Siberian husky on my person (unless it’s shedding season). We have decked out Miles in doggie gear because he doesn’t know whether it’s ridiculous or cute.
And, I saw that top in Gap and thought of you. So glad you got it!
That is so nice of Anne! And I have to say, I was jealous that the shirt was in a cat pattern instead of dog. I would have TOTALLY bought the dog one. So yes, I would wear a shirt like that! Goldendoodles aren’t often in a lot of shirts and stuff because they are more of a mutt than an actual breed.
And I’d love to get in on the next Google Hangout. Pepper would like to pretend to look at Data and Olive. 🙂

Love it! I’ve got a shirt with owls all over it 😉 but I’d never wear a dog print outfit unless it had a cool dog on it. I can’t be seen Wearing something with a French bull dog, Yorkie or some small one. I need a sporty big breed.

I have a ratty sweater from Forever 21 with a huge cat face on the front that I LOVE. I wear it all the time during the winter!

Then I got a bloody nose today and apparently got it all over it.
That is so sweet of Anne!! Admittedly, as much as I like to shop, I am lazy about actual going to the physical store so I would be sad if something I wanted sold out online, too. I’m glad Anne bought it for you because you totally need it in your closet!! I actually saw it on another blogger (who has dogs!) so apparently the print is quite popular 🙂

I rarely hear anything about what I’m wearing from Rocko, our 19 yr old gray cat. Most of the time his meowing is wanting food or snuggles.
