1,000
I hit 1,000 miles (run in 2012) yesterday!
I should have hit this number earlier in the week, but damn, those Olympics sure are getting in the way of getting things done. Just kidding. I mean, yeah, I am being lazy watching them, but if it wasn’t that, I would be lazy doing something* else.
Does getting up at 4:45 am tomorrow with Erin to watch the Women’s Olympic Marathon make me not lazy? Or just stupid?
Probably stupid. But I think that the Women’s Marathon is one Olympic event I would like to see live.
Erin and I participated in a marathon today after our 8 mile run.
I am not sure how we placed, or if we even made it to the podium. I am going to guess no.
I did find out that I don’t really care for Bloody Marys!
Alright, five hours of sleep… here I come!
*For some reason, I first wrote someone instead of something. Hmm.
Congratulations on 1k! So amazing! Some drinks after that accomplishment is a great idea!
Cheers!
Yep. I’m totally up right now. We’re crazy.
Congratulations on hitting 1,000 miles – that is an incredible accomplishment!
I don’t like Bloody Marys either. I much prefer sweet and/or fruity drinks! Where did the Bloody Mary Marathon take place and where did you and Erin run yesterday?
I missed the live marathon coverage – will be watching the replays whenever they come on later today!!!!!
The Bloody Mary Marathon was in Guttenberg, IA, and that is where we ran as well 🙂 I like sweeter drinks too 🙂
Was there any marathon replay today? All I caught was track.
Congrats on the 1000 miles! That was my goal for 2012, but I don’t think I’m gonna make it.
I love me a super spicy bloody mary!
yay for 1000! I missed all of the marathon coverage but know some others who did their long run on the treadmill so they could watch it so don’t think you are crazy at all!
Wait, did you actually run the marathon, or did you just drink bloody marys? I don’t like them either. They are too salty!
I didn’t get to see the marathon. Boooo! I guess I’ll have to read up on what happened!
There was no marathon 🙂 Just bloody mary drinking. They should call it the Bloody Mary-thon 😉
Let me know if you need any deets on the marathon 😉 LOL. I am sure you can find a lot online.
Congrats on the 1000 miles! I considered getting up to watch the marathon, but then I remembered that the baby probably wouldn’t let me catch up on that missed sleep…EVER. Ha!
Well, if you’re crazy or stupid then I am too!
After realizing I don’t like bloody marys I think taste testing all of those was almost as agonizing as the last few miles of a real marathon 🙂
I think we must NEVER do a race that requires use to drink while we run, then 🙂
Wow, good for you! I hope to be a rockstar runner like you one day.
Congrats on the big 1-0-0-0!!! That is an amazing feat Kim!! And a little celebratory mary-thon afterwards…love love love!!
Great job on the 1000 miles! That is so awesome! The Olympics are killing my sleep time but oh well, only like 5 more days right!? Thank goodness for DVR because i recorded the marathon and got up at 8am to watch it.
Holy shit.. that is amazing. Major major MAJOR congrats to you for hitting this milestone.
