Which shade of orange?

By , October 27, 2011 4:43 pm

I know I am going to wear orange for the NYC Marathon, because it’s my favorite color and that is what my spectators are going to be wearing. And maybe it will make it easier to find me in the crowds? Probably not.

Anyway, I am not sure if I am wearing a tank or a tee yet (with arm warmers, I am not crazy). So, please help me. Which tank should I wear if I wear a tank? Which tee should I wear if I wear a tee? Vote below.

And yeah… I didn’t suck it in for these photos. This is what I look like, right now. I am going to focus on dropping weight after the marathon. (for realz)

Tanks

*Tank #3 has not arrived in the mail yet to try on.

Tees

*Note, tee #3 is my NYC training shirt, which would probably be REALLY WEIRD to wear on race day. But I like its shade of orange the most, which is a bummer.

just so you know, i picked the ones i picked because i think the oranges in those ones pop more, so you’ll be more visible / identifiable! 🙂

Looks like all that strength training is paying off!

I DON’T think it’s weird to wear the training shirt at all! And while I love the number 3 tank, I think it might be pushing it to wear it on race day if you don’t HAVE it yet…(so count me in for a number 2 tank vote then…unless you get to get some miles in on it before NYC)…

  4. Sunny says:

Orange looks great on you! I can’t wait to see which one you will choose!

  5. Kandi says:

I really like the training shirt so I picked that one as far as short-sleeved shirts go. I can see why it would be weird to wear it during the race but I like it!

  6. Jen says:

    I love it! I’m grinning ear-to-ear!!

  7. ChezJulie says:

I picked tank #2 and tee #3 for the same reasons – the shade of orange looks great on you and I like how the black panels accentuate your shape.

This was fun! Can we vote on some more outfits? 🙂

Bear in mind in terms of visibility, with ING as the race sponsor, there’s a LOT of orange out there! Btw I was the one vote for “none of these” with the tank, because I’m wearing a tee so OBVIOUSLY that’s the only logical way to dress 😉

I was thinking there would be a lot of orange with ING as the sponsor. Plus, I think one of the charities has orange tops?

Ha ha! How have you already decided on a tee? It’s still so far away! 🙂

  9. Look at those muscles! I actually like all those shirts but I voted for the second one in each.

  10. You look awesome! And your guns are impressive. 🙂

  11. J says:

Tough choice! Love the orange tho – its Brians favorite color too! I would have to see the third tank option, but I did like the second tank too!
And I have orange arm warmers! I need to wear them tho – someday hopefully!

  12. Kelly says:

I would pack both a Tshirt and a tank and decide on the day of the race. You never know how you’ll feel!

    • kilax says:

I’m going to take all of these shirts to NYC so my sister can tell me what she thinks in person 🙂 Who knows. Maybe it will end up snowing or something and I will have to wear a jacket!

  13. Amy says:

I like tank 2 but I would definitely go with whatever is the most comfortable! How’s the taper going? (Are you actually tapering?)

    • kilax says:

Taper is going well! I do feel like I am tapering. I feel like a lazy smackaroo, but I know it will be worth it to have my legs well rested!

  14. Bethany says:

I picked the tank no one else did. Don’t listen to me. On the upside, I followed the crowd with the t-shirt! 😉

  15. Jen says:

My husband wore a white tank and blue shorts for Boston. Defintely the worst outfit to wear in the history of running races. I admire your attempts to be visible!
