>1000
I just finished my last long run for the Milwaukee training cycle – 22 miles with Erin on the Des Plaines River Trail. Erin paced me the entire time on her bike. That is true friendship! Riding your bike with a runner is sloooooow…
I’m so happy she was there. We started at 11:00 am and although it was in the 70s, it was sunny and I was fading during the last 6 miles. It was nice to have her company to keep me going. We’re going to rock Milwaukee!
And this run means I am now over 1000 miles for 2011! I am at 1006.05! That blows my mind, since my goal was to get over 1000 last year and I couldn’t do it (made it to 843.85)!
In other running related news, check out this awesome raffle Kayla is having on her blog to raise money for the American Cancer Society. There are a TON of prizes!!!
And unrelated, I think Data got stung by a bee this morning during our walk! I was freaking out, but he’s fine. Has your pet ever been stung by a bee?
Yay! Congrats for hitting 1000+ miles, that is awfully exciting and you should be so proud!
It was rather hot today, kudos to you for getting your 22 in. I had the same distance on the schedule today and I decided to laze around in the am hours and then it got too hot for me so I’ve instead been eating junk all day. My hopes are on tomorrow…
Thank you! I am proud. Very excited I could do it this year.
Have fun on your 22 tomorrow! Steer clear of the half marathon course 🙂
Congrats on your milestone!
One of our dogs was recently stung by a bee on the bottom of his paw. He wouldn’t put any weight on it or let us touch it. I did manage to make him a little ice pack to help reduce swelling, but he wasn’t very interested. He was fine the next day.
Thanks!
That makes me feel better. I was worried about Data, but he was acting normal when I got home, and now just seems a bit exhausted.
Congrats on your 22 and your last long run of this training cycle! And hitting over 1000 so early in the year.
I’m pretty certain Delilah has been stung by bees before. Whenever I leave her with my parents, her face always swells up for some reason. We assume it’s bees. She has had swollen face for me and my friends too, but it most often occurs when I’m on vacation – so weird.
Thank you!!!
Poor Delilah! I am happy she doesn’t have a really bad reaction!
Congrats on reaching 1000 already! Thats awesome and awesome job rounding out the last high miles of the training cycle! you are going to kill it! 🙂 Thanks for the shout out!!
1000 miles in 2011?! And it’s only September! Holy cats you’re like my personal hero! You are totally going to rock Milwaukee – I can’t wait to hear all about it!!!
Poor Data! How is he doing? My parents’ dogs have gotten stung by bees before. The little one’s nose swelled up once but she was okay after a day. I hope he’s feeling better today!
LOL – thanks 🙂
Data is back to his normal self today; thanks for asking! He even went back outside. I think I am lucky Data didn’t have any swelling!
Congrats on your mileage – that is awesome!
I had fun riding my bike with you! You did great even if you did feel out of it at the end.
But, really, could I look any more flabby in that photo? I hate bike shorts.
That is why I pull mine way up! But you look fine 🙂
Hooray for 1000! And 22 miles. You’re always so dedicated to your training plan – I admire that!
Congrats on 1000 and 22 miles! (makes me wonder what I’m at for the year, hmm…) You’re going to be great at the marathon!
I missed this post! 1000 MILES! I can not even comprehend that! That’s pretty damn amazing!
Thank you! I am excited I was able to do it this year!
1000?! Holy moly! That is great news girly! You should be soooo proud of yourself! Maybe next year I will shoot for the 1000, this year I still won’t even come close. I’ve been doing a lot of other fitness stuff besides just running, and it’s bringing down my mileage a lot. Oh well…I’m having fun, that’s all that matters!
I think it is great that you are doing other things that running! As you can see, running is all that I do… I miss having a more varied schedule!
YAY!! Congrats! That is such a great milestone and so early in the year! Well done!
