Shorts and boats
My parents got me a new running outfit for my birthday – check out those shorts!
Shorty McShorterson! They have elastic on the bottom and are supposedly “chafe-free.” I brought them to work today to wear during a lunch run, but when I went out to run, I effed up the garmin and it wouldn’t turn back on, so I got pissed off and went back to my office. Because I am awesome. Yay, temper.
Let’s see if I can fix the Garmin tonight and try them tomorrow. I am curious to see if I like them as much as my bermudas. If I do, I will have to buy 4 more pairs.
And this isn’t related, but I have to post a picture of my brother’s ridiculously awesome boat. Would you ride in that thing? I did. It was the most awesome ride of my life. It goes about 60 mph and just glides (and sometimes jumps) over the water… it’s really exhilarating. Nick, please come back to the river in two weeks and take me on another ride!

OOOH hot pants! Thats what my running coach calls those or rather hot shorts! Very nice! THey look great!
Nice modeling skills. I love Gram showing how snuggly those hug the bum! I run in those types of shorts all the time and they are super comfy. Plus since I am a super human sweat freak, they don’t collect as much sweat as other shorts. Best of luck with your garmin, hate when those things choose to be on the fritz.
Where do you like to get your shorts? I like this pair but can’t find them online!
The garmin turned right back on as soon as it got to the charger. It wasn’t even dead. Silly thing!
I have a pair of shorts like those and I LOVE them. They don’t ride up and feel soooo comfortable. I need like a bagillion more pairs of them.
You must tell me if those shorts really work and are chafe free! Then you must tell me where they are from!! They look long enough if they stay in place! Can you tell I’m excited?!

My ‘marathon shorts’ look very similar in style to those (they are 7″ nike core shorts) and they are totally chafe free! (I managed this weekend’s marathon without any chafing, blisters, or toenail pain!)
Happy birthday! New shorts look awesome! (and similar to the shorts I usually run in) – if they are tight enough, you shouldn’t have chafing. I usually put a little body glide on for safety’s sake, but have only found them to chafe when they start to get stretched out or two big. I buy mine tight!

That’s totally something I would do–get mad at my Garmin and just give up for the day.
I don’t have any tight-ish running shorts. I hope they work out for you. Maybe I will be encouraged to try some.
You should get a pair. I bet your legs are looking toned from your Body Combat classes (is that what they are called? I hope so – sorry if I got the name wrong!).

I’ve seen Stepbrothers too many times, because I’ve been singing “Boats and Hoes” in my head for the last 5 minutes. Im interested to see how you like the shorts though. I have such a hard time finding shorts that are comfortable to run in.
Oh my gosh. “I thought you were a doucher, but then you weren’t a doucher!” (or whatever they say). Man, I thought I would HATE that movie, but we liked it so much we bought it.
