I made it home!
My bike was still there when I got to the train station so I got to ride it home. Yay!
I got to take a closer look at the baby geesers in the park (normally we are driving by so fast).
And I got to ride on the new trail almost all the way to my house (note to Bobbi – the hills still suck on the bike):
Overall, the ride was about 3.5 miles and took less than 20 minutes. I will have to do it again. But bring sunglasses and bug spray. The bugs were getting in my eyes and biting me.
Even running lately I’m ending up with bugs in my mouth. YUCK! So glad your bike was still there 😛
I was thinking about those hills today. About how I can’t wait til after this marathon when I can come over and KICK THEIR COLLECTIVE ASS. I need hill redemption, haha.
I’m glad your bike was still there!
Baby geese are cute but then they grow up into dirty, mean adult geese. 🙁
Is your trail finished?!?!
The trail is not finished yet, but it’s mostly done. They are going to build a bit more by my house, and there is still dispute over an area under the power lines. I am not sure that will ever be resolved.
And people aren’t supposed to be on the trail yet, but… oops?
YAY! nice job riding your bike! I hate bugs especially when they fly into my mouth or eyes!
I LOVE the goose’s speech bubble – totally true! They are MEAN.
That’s cool that the trail goes almost the whole way! Much better than riding on the roads, I think. Do you think you could get into a routine of riding your bike to and from the train?
I think I will start doing it more often, as long as it’s not raining! I just have to figure out what to do on days that I have my work computer. I carry a lot of things to work!
What’s a gang of geese called? I know a lot of crows are called a murder. This group of fowls looks very defensive.
