Medal Display
I won Kayla‘s Allied Medal Displays Giveaway and am now the proud owner of the “I Run This Town” display!
I choose this one because I love the cityscape and because of its long length – I plan on having more medals to put on it. I was surprised by how thick the medal rack was! It’s really sturdy (and easy to install*). If you are looking for a medal display, check out the other cool ones on the Allied Medal Displays site – there are a lot of other cool ones!
I put all my age group awards on the left, and general race awards on the right. Since I don’t have a medal for my half PR, I will put up gloves they gave us at that race.
Just kidding, I am not going to leave those up there.
Adam, since you are always interested in my photo editing, here is the before and after.
No marathon medals on this rack yet – Chicago has a special home, thanks to Erin:
I know I have asked you guys a thousand times, but where do you keep your race bibs and medals?
As you know, mine are all in my closet, including this medal rack (the Chicago frame is in our office). I like looking at them each morning. I just rearranged them too, in chronological order. Here’s a little collage of my closet wall, since I don’t have a camera that can get it all in one shot (they go from floor to ceiling).
*Not that it matters – Steven did it for me.
LOVE the medal holder! I seriously need one (once I get some medals, haha). All my race bibs are taped to my bedroom wall by the closet, I like looking at them everyday like you too. 🙂
You should post a picture of that on your blog! I would love to see it!
I JUST asked Erin about her medal rack last night and then ordered myself one! 🙂
Cool! Which one did you order?
I try for a medal holder every time I see a giveaway – I love their stuff! One of these days, I may pony up and just buy one…
My medals are stuffed in a box. I just bought an 8×8 scrapbook for all my bibs, and I’m going to put pictures in with all of them. I like how it’s turning out – I’ll post a picture when it’s done 🙂
I can’t wait to see it!
LOVE IT! My bibs are all in a 3 drawer cart drawer. I have to get my stuff together one day when there are 36 hours in the day and work on it!
That is so cool that you won a medal holder. It looks great!
I’m going to have to do another marathon scrapbooking session at some point. I haven’t done any of the races from 2011 yet!
You don’t have too many to do, right? 😛 Ha ha, just kidding! Are you going to go to your mom’s to do it again?
How cool! that is a really nice one!
That looks awesome!
That’s awesome that you won yours! You needed it, with all those medals. I have a little bit of “medal envy” 😉
My medal display is the one that says “Always Earned Never Given”. I don’t have anything for my bibs yet. I’ve saved them, and I want to be sure and label each one with the date/race/my time before I forget which races I’ve done. I just haven’t figured out how I want to organize them…
Where is the Petathlon bib? 🙂
Very nice. I keep my bibs taped to my cabinets in my cube at work. I only have one medal and it was from my first 10k back in 2006. The races I’ve run up to this point don’t hand out medals. I’ll get one at MCM I’m sure.
My husband is making me a few medal racks – I think you saw that blog post where I showed it. But right now – they are all in a shoebox…
Oh wow, you really were able to clean up that photo. Or, at least make it WAY brighter. Thanks for sharing that!
I have a couple of pretty sweet medal racks that I store everything on, but I really like your idea w/ all of the bibs. Mine are all stored away in a drawer 🙁
Ok, your new wall arrangement really makes me want to adjust mine. I have mine all up in my hallway, but the last 2 bibs area just hanging off to the side since I’m out of room (damn thermostat). I love the photos with them.
I like having them up on the wall where I can see them, but i’d like to have them in a book with photos too. hmmmm…..
My medals are all on a bulletin board, but that too is out of room as it’s currently laid out…
Wow, this is really old – it has less than half of my medals on it that I now have! http://runninglaur.blogspot.com/2010/10/five-photo-friday.html
I love your medal display! You need to update it and repost!
