30 Day Fashion Shoot: Days 8-14
Thank you so much for all of the feedback on last week’s outfits! I really took all of your suggestions seriously. The ones I am going to focus on the most is finding nice shoes for work and clothes that compliment my figure. And maybe some jeans that fit well?
And I thought this visual guide to shoes I stumbled across last weekend was funny. Perfect for me, no?
Day 8 – April 8, 2011
This was a “work at home” day, so I only wore this outfit in the evening, to take Data to the vet. Do you guys think these jeans fit me better? They feel a bit saggy (okay, okay, they are one size too big!).
Jeans – Eddie Bauer (love their jeans!)
Top – Puma Outlet
Shoes – Asics Gel Cumulus 12s
Day 9 – April 9, 2011
I wore this outfit to the race. I got in to jeans and a silly t-shirt later in the day.
Top – Kohl’s (Tek Gear)
Capris – Kohl’s (Nike)
Shoes – Asics Gel Cumulus 12s
Day 10 – April 10, 2011
I had to dig out my capris and enjoy the warm weather! Unfortunately, I think these capris are a bit too big. I wore them last summer when I was a bit heavier.
Top – JCPenney
Capris – Kohl’s
Shoes – Adidas Outlet
Necklace – Gina bought it for me from Etsy!
Day 11 – April 11, 2011
You guys inspired me to look nice for work! Here is my attempt (I think it may have worked – I got some compliments on “looking so nice”).
Skirt – Liz Claiborne Outlet (for $12!!!)
Top – JCPenney
Necklace and Earrings – holiday gift from Steven!
Shoes – Payless
Day 12 – April 12, 2011
Stayed at home sick and didn’t get out of my pajamas.
Day 13 – Day 13, 2011
Ugh. This picture turned out really crummy!
Top and Sweater – The Limited
Pants – The Limited
Shoes – Macy’s
Jewelry – Earrings from H&M, Necklace from my Grandma (note: these earrings are a byotch to put on)
Day 14 – Day 14, 2011
Work from home day – I really doubt I will be getting out of my lounge wear.
So… I only have two work outfits in here, and the rest is bum clothes. I guess you guys can get a good idea of what I look like when I bum around?
I’m glad you showed your jewelry – I LOVE checking out accessories! And I absolutely love that skirt! I looked all last summer for skirts like that and found none!
Thanks! I ended up finding that skirt in November… at the end of the season! Weird, right?!
Your work outfits this week were spot-on! Very polished and professional.
I’m not so good at giving casual outfit advice but I agree with you that the capris are a little bit too baggy. Also, I still think those jeans are too short and narrow. Since you like Eddie Bauer maybe try their Curvy Boot cut jeans? And maybe in a darker wash. Darker jeans tend to look a little more polished than the lighter washes.
Thanks! I do think I need darker jeans. I think those are the regular length. Do you think I need to get “long”?
Oh, my gosh, Kim! Your work outfits are SO cute! Very professional and put together. Show off that rockin’ bod you have! 🙂
Thanks! I tried harder this week 🙂
I love the jewerlry shots! I’ve been needing some new inspiration on the jewelry front…
I definitely like the work outfits a lot! Were your non-sneakers comfortable? (I wore heels all day at work yesterday and wow— it’s been a long time since 8-9 hrs in heels!)
I think your jeans might still be a bit short… I generally have mine hide a bit more of my shoe, but maybe that’s the “short fashion” for me (I’m definitely shorter than you!)
Thanks! I will have to show more of my jewelry… I have a ton of stuff.
The non-sneakers were okay. My feet hurt after wearing the brown shoes, but i was talking around a lot. Definitely not as bad as wearing heels though!
I do need longer jeans! I guess I need to buy them anyway. Jean shopping always makes me feel so fat though!
I was just thinking about what my wardrobe would look like if I posted it every single day. Boring. Would fit my blog PERFECT.
DO IT.
Looking good girl! Love the black and white skirt and the peach cardigan! This post makes me want to go shopping!
Both of your work outfits = SO CUTE! and I love the top you are wearing in the outfit with the capris (and the necklace too). I need to go shopping so badly.
Thanks! Do you think you will end up using your bday money to go shopping?
Happy Birthday!!! 🙂
Changing up the shoes really does elevate your outfit!
Work outfits are A+! I like your race outfit, too – hugs you in the right places. 🙂
I have that same skirt from Liz Claiborne! I payed more than $12 though – I’m pretty jealous of that.
Love seeing your jewelry up close. You have some cool stuff! Loved your work outfits this week. The shoes definitely help make you look more put together. Cute skirt and super good deal on it!
You look so nice in the skirt! I also love the top/cardi from the Limited on the last day. I actually recognized it from the ONE time I’ve ever walked into their store.
Aren’t the positive comments from co-workers wonderful? I wear the same thing each day, so the only thing I can really change is my hair. I typically wear my hair in a nasty, messy bun (I get hot). When I do wear my hair down or do something different, people make comments.
