Erin took me shopping at The Limited on Tuesday and I now have pants that fit! No belt required!
I actually got a few other things too, like this sweater:
I actually bought it to match this cute top,
but I felt bloated today so I wore the white top instead. Erin actually suggested the whole ensemble! Well, minus the lack of shoes and messy hair. There is still work to do here. No one can fix that.
I have to thank Erin for waiting while I tried on approximately one zillion pairs of pants and two zillion dresses. And a few tops. I did come home with two dresses! My younger brother is getting married on April 2nd and I thought it would be fun to buy something new for the wedding!
So far, everyone thinks I should go with the purple dress. What do you think?
I am happy I have some pants that fit now. I felt so sloppy before. I was hesitant to spend the money on pants, because I hope to be needing new ones again in a few months, but it’s worth the money to feel comfortable in the meantime.
I also think I was a little scared to shop at The Limited. I had never been in there before and was worried they wouldn’t have clothes to fit a bigger girl like me. But they did! And the salespeople were really nice!
Have you ever felt too intimidated to shop in a certain store? For what reason?
I remember one time Steven and I were on Michigan Avenue and decided to stop in the Armani Exchange (was that the store, Steven?) or something similar and we basically walked in… and walked out! We didn’t belong in there!

I have really been loving mine. It’s so nice not to have cords in the way of my run, or have to worry about carrying an MP3 player on my arm or in my pocket. And the sound quality is AWESOME.

Ha, you should get it! The funny thing is, I told a coworker I got it and she was telling me how she’s had her eye on it forever! I told her it wouldn’t be a big deal if we both had it.

My husband and I have done that too – walk into a store to see what it is all about, quickly realize that we do not belong and promptly leave. That happened to us last in Paris. We walked into an art gallery close to the apartment we rented…yeah, not so much!

I went to a Limited in Indianapolis and the salesgirl looked like a holiday elf with a stick up her butt. She definitely didn’t appreciate our giggling.
Great new clothes! It’s always a good feeling to have some beautiful clothes that fit right. Both dresses are great, but I love, love, love the purple one. I had to laugh at your comment about Armani Exchange. The same thing has happened to my husband and I…more than once. One of our most memorable experiences about not “fitting in” at a store was when we walked into Abercrombie and Fitch and came face to face with a topless man. We weren’t expecting it at all, so it really threw us for a loop. I was desperate for shorts, so we continued into the store, but quickly turned around when we saw that most of them were about as long as my underwear.

The shirt is not from there, but the funny thing is, someone at work asked me the same thing! Apparently they had a very similar shirt! This one is from Old Navy.

I love shopping in the limited, lately it’s been hit or miss on cute tops but they seriously have the best work pants. My booty and thighs can fit in few things 😉 Another added bonus – they send coupons nearly every month! Love saving money!

I hate going into stores like Hollister and American Eagle and places that play loud music. I’ve NEVER been comfortable in stores like that. I feel so out of place!
And who even fits in to clothes from those stores?! Not me. My sis does though!
Pants that fit are awesome. When I find good ones, I buy multiple colors. No one else really notices that your wearing different versions of the same pants.

I just got a purple dress very much like that (for a wedding, at TJ Maxx for $20 – felt like a big win, especially since I don’t really have any dresses and was just casually looking to kill time.) So, I say go purple!
I love the clothes that you got! Even with the white top the sweater & pants combo look good. Is the black top/khaki skirt actually a dress? I think it looks good, but I’d go with the purple dress for a fancy occasion like a wedding 🙂

Um, I don’t belong in most of the stores on Michigan Avenue (besides Walgreens and that Disney store … oh, and The Gap). 🙂 I once got the stink eye from a saleswoman at Neiman Marcus and I’ve never gone back.
