Helper Cat

By , December 21, 2010 6:30 am

Whoa, blog post overload! Ha. Sometimes I have nothing to say… sometimes, I have a lot to say.

Need assistance wrapping gifts? Just call “Helper Cat” to the rescue!”

Helper Cat specializes in eating ribbon,

Mom, please excuse the cat slobber on your gift!

and generally looking clueless. Um… that is all.

Helper Cat is not ever supposed to get on the dining room table, but if that is where the presents are, that is where Helper Cat has to be. It’s a rule Helper Cat is willing to break.

We are FINALLY done wrapping gifts.

Oh wait. I still have to wrap Steven’s. And he has to wrap mine. Wah!

Are you done wrapping gifts? Shopping?

Have I already asked those questions? Am I losing my mind?

I’m done wrapping too! I wrap all my parents gifts in addition to mine, so it always feels like a great feat has been accomplished. Before my grandma passed away, I would do all her gifts for people; it usually took me a weekend!

Not losing your mind, but maybe just in the holiday spirit 🙂

That is so nice of you to wrap for everyone! Do you do it sitting down or standing up? I noticed that my back hurt last night when I was standing up doing it!

      • Megan says:

I do it standing up– pretty much always. My parents have a nice sized island in their kitchen that is a little taller than waist height for me (I’m 5’9″), so it makes it perfect for having everything at hand (all the boxes of paper and bows) and not stooping over the entire day. I took most of my wrapping home and did it with theirs. My counter top is ok but not as spacious!

  2. Oh my gosh I LOVE Helper Cat!!!

  3. Kandi says:

Helper cat is great. From my (very limited) experience, it seems all cats love to eat ribbon! 🙂
I have all the gifts that I’ve purchased so far wrapped… meaning I haven’t completely finished up shopping for my brother and SIL (but I won’t be seeing them at Christmas :() and I still need to figure out what I’m doing for my parents this year.

Hahahaha, oh Helper Cat. Not so much helper and much more cat 🙂

I have to ask, are you giving someone rubbing alcohol as a gift?

    • kilax says:

Ha! I wondered if someone would ask that. When I first went to take this pic, there were unwrapped gifts in the shot, so I moved those, but didn’t move the rubbing alcohol (used it to remove ornery stickers). Oops.

Hee hee hee. My kitties love to “help” with presents too–especially the ribbons and bows. Of course it is partly my own fault for wrapping on the floor which is right at kitty level!

  6. I’m done wrapping the presents I have bought, but not done shopping. 🙁 I love that data helps you wrap presents! 🙂

Awww Helper cat is so cute!! My cat would probably rip the paper to shreds! This morning she had a milk chin cause she stuck her face in her milk – it was cute!

  8. sizzle says:

We can’t put ribbon or bows on our gifts unless we put them up high on a book shelf since Dash and Dot like to eat it. Then it gets stuck in their butts and it’s not good (also dangerous). Those darn cats are the reason we can’t have nice things. Good thing they are cute. 😉

  9. hahaha my dog likes to get in the way when Im wrapping gifts too.

I have my own Helper Cat at home. Frankie likes to pounce on the wrapping paper while I am in the process of wrapping a package.

I got all my out-of-town presents wrapped and shipped off this past weekend, which was a huge relief, but I’ve still got to do the prezzies for my husband and my Mom.

I need help from Helper Cat! I hope he’s available before Christmas!

Data makes my heart melt. I’m back at my mom’s place now, and she has a new cat who is really sweet – and he likes me better than my mom. Super win!

  13. Paula says:

<3 I have a helper cat to. Yoshi always thinks it's ok to break the counter rules!

  14. Denise says:

Still wrapping and wrapping and wrapping…… And I have many more Helper Cats than you! LOL

Helper Cats, who sometimes don’t help, are great to have around. Data is a cool cat and one that looks like he has a lot of fun this time of the year.
