What makes you feel better?
Thank you for your comments on my post yesterday! You all know how to make me feel better!
And you know what else almost always makes me feel better? A good run, out on the trail, just me and my thoughts (oh, and my photographer).
Today we had a high of 70 with a heavy breeze. I was lucky enough to be working the late afternoon at home (morning in Milwaukee) and could leave my house on time to enjoy the temps and the sunlight (the sun set today around 6:00 and that is normally when I get home).
Ah. That’s me feeling better.
What makes you feel better?
Chocolate. 😉
But seriously, being outdoors and reveling in the grace and beauty in nature reminds me that there is something bigger than me and that I can get through whatever life throws my way.
Running definitely helps and I also like music. 🙂 Or funny movies.
I am totally jealous of your “high of 70 with a heavy breeze” weather! It was almost 90 here today.
Taking a long walk almost always makes me feel better. If that doesn’t work, cuddling on the couch with a movie, cats, and a glass of wine will do the trick. 🙂
Yuck! 90 is too hot for October. The high today is 57 or something.
I love watching movies on the couch! Well, when I actually WATCH them. Normally I have my laptop out too!
LOVE the pictures! And the Halloween theme too, wheeee!
The weather there is still warmer than here…
A good run always make me feel better. Or a few hours chatting with friends. Or good food (and dessert!) — though that backfires sometimes and makes me feel guilty! And vacation! Nothing like a vacation or a beach trip to brighten my mood 🙂
Wish it would have stayed that way for me! I’m wearing the “please rain on me” outfit. You’ve seen it 😉
Running always makes me feel better. Even the crappy runs.
Looks like a beautiful run 🙂
What makes me feel better? Organizing my to-do list and then taking a nap or reading or watching a favorite show/movie 🙂 Cuddling kitties always help too.
Naps. YES. Love naps.
I’m with the cuddling with kitties crowd. In fact, Frankie is sitting with me right now! He says the answer to the question “What makes you feel better?” is chicken.
Ha! Oh Frankie 🙂
You’re running in quite the beautiful area. I could see why that would make you feel better.
Sleep usually makes me feel better. (Maybe because some weeks I don’t nearly get enough of it)
I love that picture of you – you look content.
Thank you!
I always feel better after a chat with a good friend, a good workout or a nap!
Pulling weeds and plucking things in the garden. ALWAYS makes me feel better. Always.
You know, that’s a good question! Sometimes reading a good book makes me feel better. Sometimes getting out of the house and hanging out with friends does the trick. It just depends on why I’m feeling bad to begin with!
Ha–when I first saw that picture in the middle of the post, I was like, what the?? It HAD to be dark when she was running, right?
Spending time with my friends usually cheers me up. Doing any kind of artistic endeavor. And watching a funny movie. 🙂
Oh! Duh, of COURSE I am in the “cuddling with kitties” crowd too!
Man you said it. There is something about getting out for a run that makes everything seem SUPER awesome. Hope this run helped you clear your head.
Are the trails you run on gravel or paved?
Snuggling up with my puppies makes me feel better after a tough day. They’re always happy to see me.
The trails I run are crushed limestone. 🙂
I love that about pets!
