… I just want to go to bed.
I’m not sure if I am ready for another dark and cold season. Each year I try to come up with a new way to deal with it, but I always feel a little crummy overall. I suppose last year’s method of keeping myself purposefully busy helped somewhat. I’ll try that again.

It just sucks and there’s no way around it except to stay busy. I hate it too.
As I type this is is pouring down rain outside my window. Depressing!

I’m not sure how I feel about it getting dark so early all of a sudden. I’m used to it getting dark around 9 and I get to go home in an hour. Now it’s dark by 7 and I still have three hours of work left. Not cool!

Last year we handled the dark with going to the gym—I hope we do the same this year!
Maybe one day I’ll be in your house waiting for you with a palm tree and a hula skirt. It will be like a tropical summer vacation…in the middle of the Midwestern season of doom. (=Fall and winter)

I hate when its dark too!! And its so cold already! 🙁 I need to buy some winter clothes brr!! At least now I can make hot chocolate in the morning and take it in my cute winter thermos! 🙂
Love Chicago…HATE Chicago winters. Especially January. Those two annual weeks of sub-zero windy crazy days get the best of me.

I’m one of *those* people who loves the change in seasons. No, I don’t like when it’s still winter in April. But, I’ll deal with that so I can enjoy all four seasons. Why not look at this weather as a good excuse to pull out candles for the darker moments … at least it gives you cause to be romantic. =)
Girl…I TOTALLY know what you mean!!! I hate getting up when it’s pitch black, and driving to work when it’s pitch black, and walking into work when it’s…STILL PITCH BLACK! Right now, it’s still getting light out as I drive to work, but every day I think about how it will soon be BLACK BLACK BLACK all the time!! 🙁

It happens a lot later down here in Texas, but the first day that I drive home from work amongst a road full of taillights shining in the dark is the day I start getting into a Christmas mood.

Ugh, I was just complaining to my co-worker yesterday that I am probably going to have to break out the treadmill soon because it’s getting dark earlier and earlier. Blah.
There is going to be a community vote on the new fitness center on October 22nd and I will definitely be there so HOPEFULLY I will have more options soon!!
