Was that a “weekend”?

I am sick of these bullshit weekends. Is anyone else?

You’re crazy busy, running errands both days – you feel more exhausted at the end of each night than you do on a weeknight.

Yay, weekends.

i hate those weekends. after 2 weekends out of town, i specifically made NO plans for this past weekend, and it was awesome. even though i STILL didn’t feel like i’d had enough down time by last night…..

  2. I seriously need a three day weekend to make it seem like a weekend at all.

  3. ajooja says:

You’re going to hate me, but I took a nap both days. I didn’t shower each day until about 4 p.m. I watched 4-5 movies. I did a whole lot of nothing.

I’m ready to “do something” one of these weekends. My wife and I are doing a movie day weekend-after-next. I can’t wait.

  4. I could not express this frustration better myself. I woke up this morning utterly exhausted from all that we accomplished this weekend. And while we did do a lot, we have so much more to do. It’s overwhelming.

  5. Denise says:

Yeah, I hate having to go back to work to rest and relax. Feels like “no weekend”.

  6. Kyra says:

You’re telling me. With a sick kid and housework it’s like one long day that never ends. I was just thinking back to when we were in gradeschool through highschool…. remember when weekends were COOL?

Alice – We were gone for three weekends in a row in Dec/Jan, and I swear, I am STILL recovering! When do we ever get to relax!

Gina (Mannyed) – I am not even sure 3-day is enough for me anymore. 🙁

ajooja – That was me last winter. I made a goal this winter to “do more.” I think I am hitting that goal. I don’t hate you. I envy you 🙂

Somi’s Nilsa – Does the to-do list ever get smaller?! No. It doesn’t 🙁

Denise – I almost said that – I feel more relaxed at work then I did at home. How awful is that?!

Kyra – HA! Yes! I remember being BORED! Isn’t it crazy? Not anymore.

  8. I said the same thing in my Sunday post! You spend all week looking forward to those two days and then come Monday it seems like they didn’t even happen! I hate that! I need a weekend after my weekend.

  9. kilax says:

Amy @ Passages to the Past – I just saw your post! Ha! We are on the same page 😉 It’s like when you need a vacation after your vacation. We DO need a weekend for our weekend!

  10. No weekends suck!!! that’s all i can say!!! i feel like i live for the weekend and then it’s here and gone before i even know it… blah!!!
    =^..^=

To be honest, most of my weekends are pretty laid back. With some exceptions, I spend most of the time preparing for Snowy Sunday. My wife doesn’t mind, because I take a break here and there to go shopping with her and do things around the house.

Of course, that’s not to day I’ve not had my own share of bullshit weekends. Most have involved some server needing a physical visit at work. That normally will tear a page of of the good book of lazy.

CourtneyInControl – It’s definetely never as long as I want it to be, even if it is 3 or 4 days 🙂

martymankins – I am jealous of you. I am not sure how our weekends got so out of hand, but we’ve been super busy the last few. 🙁
