Not in the mood

By , February 3, 2009 5:50 pm

I had a post scheduled for tonight and I took it down at the last minute. It’s the first time I’ve ever done that.

The post was poorly written, and in effect, I think some of the responses would have frustrated me.

All I do is work and run. So… just imagine there’s a post here tonight about either of those topics. Thanks.

So, pretend there is a comment here about all your running and working. Or something like that.

Don’t worry about second guessing yourself on your post. I’ve done it a few times. I wrote and wrote and wrote and then read it and realized it probably wouldn’t have been a good idea to hit that post button. It happens.

  2. diane says:

Well, I hope you had a good day at work and a great run.
    How’s that?
(Incidentally, I feel like I’ve just spent the last month whining so…we all have our moments when we feel our blog is less than Pulitzer-worthy!)

  3. Bethany says:

I know how you feel. Except I feel like all I’ve got is work and babysitting…and both involve kids…blah, sometimes. Did you have a good day?

  4. Hilly says:

I cannot how many posts I write then don’t publish because I am sure that the comments will make me want to kill someone. Uh, yes..I. am under pressure right now, LOL.

I’ll just pretend you write about running and I read it wishing I would start something with my exercise routine. πŸ™‚

  5. sizzle says:

That’s why I posted an “ask me” kind of post today.

  6. Excellent post, I especially liked the part about work and the part about running.

So, Chicago talks have commenced. Apparently, gracing Chi Town with my presence has to coincide with both a White Sox and Cubs home game. : )

  7. Hi!!! i agree with the comments left, they are good comments!! my posts have been less than “posting” worthy lately… i hope you have a good wednesday!!! (and if all else fails, go home and give Data some skritches for me!!)
    =^..^=

kapgar – You’re right, I shouldn’t worry. I just hate that… I worked and worked on something and it was still a pile of crap. Oh well. At least I realized it first! πŸ˜‰

diane – Thanks πŸ™‚ I did have a good run πŸ™‚ You know, I go to other people’s blogs, like yours, and it doesn’t bother me that YOU are whiny (which I don’t think you are). But why does it bother me when I am? (Okay, and there are a few other blogs that I wish people would move on to another topic πŸ˜‰ )

Bethany – We probably all feel this way, don’t we? I did end up having a good day after my whiny post. Did you? πŸ™‚

Hilly – Hee hee hee. I like how you have a pretend feeling to my pretend post. I hate screening what I write… but I think yesterday, it was for the greater good. There are a few people I know who wouldn’t have understood it. Hopefully we both don’t have to do much more of that!

sizzle – That’s such a good idea! I have to come over and pop a question!

Gina (Mannyed) – Ha ha. Thanks πŸ˜‰ Hmm, which weekends are both teams in town? Is there some way to look this up?!

CourtneyInControl – I like your posts – at least you talk about all of the different things going on in your life! Now we just need more of them πŸ˜‰ Ha! I wish I was at home right now with Data!

  9. (My) Steve mentioned a weekend in July and August, but I’m not positive on that. I’ll check back with him.

  10. Felicia says:

My pretend comment to go with your pretend post πŸ™‚

You are better than me though…I haven’t even been pretend posting!!!

  11. kilax says:

    Gina(Mannyed) – I can’t wait until you find out! πŸ™‚

Felicia – I might as well not have even “pretend” posted πŸ˜‰

  12. teeni says:

You are the god of your blog and you get to make those decisions. I think you use your powers wisely. πŸ™‚ Sorry so late getting here – I have catching up to do!

  13. kilax says:

teeni – Ha ha. It’s the only thing I AM in control of πŸ˜‰ It’s okay, I need to catch up too! It’s so easy to get behind.
