October Goals
It would be amazing if these things happened in October:
- I posted here every day
- I finished drawing the sketch of a friend’s home based on measurements I took in… June
- I actually opened the LEED book I borrowed from my father-in-law last winter and READ it
- I gave Steven the photoshop lessons I’ve been promising him
- I wrote a letter to my friend Rixa, who lives in Rome
- I finally visited my new nephew! (We plan on it)
- I ran another 5k (with Steven)
- I got rid of some of the jiggle in my butt and thighs
- I lost ten pounds
If the cold weather keeps me inside, maybe I will get some of these things done. What do you think? What’s on your plate?
I have a theory on posting every day. While I think it’s cool and some people can find stuff to post on, I prefer less post per week. 1) it makes it easier for us readers to play catch up and 2) I like to see posts that have more than just “I did this today” Thought provoking and something to make me think. I hope that explanation came out right.
I think you should for sure come see Thomas ;).. He is already a month old 🙁
martymankins – It did come out right. Maybe I should have just had my goal to be to post more often, because I know what you are saying. Some people can just go on and on and on and post every day, but I am not like that. And I don’t have time to read that much either. It’s just that the past couple of months (at least), I’ve posted less than 1/2 of the days that month. I would like it to be a BIT more than that 😉
Courtney Ilax – We are planning to come the weekend of the 17th! Will you be home?
The 5k thing is a goal of mine soon too. I’ll let you know if I decide to do the one we were talking about…I think it may be full already though.
tori – Yeah, let me know! Maybe we could find one closer to home too. 😉 A little less crowded!
I think your goals are very good- I always smile for ya when I see your weight loss progress tracker off to the side too- You’ve lost 41 freakn’ pounds? GO! GO! GO GIRL! I’m so proud of your accomplishment! Gawd, you must be feeling so good! Have you always been a runner or is this something new for you? Either way, very good goals and I get the feeling that you will accomplish them all. Just check one off at a time and before you know it- BLAM!
Kim, you are awesome, congrats!
JQ14 – I think you’re my best cheerleader. Thank you! I have ran on and off for a long time. It takes me awhile to get back into it, but I always end up loving it. I hope to stick with it this time! And hopefully, I will accomplish the other goals just as easy!
