Pantalones
I used to have a pair of American Flag Pants, before I met Mr. Pronunciation and found out that flag was not pronounced like it rhymed with beg, but with bag, which I pronounced like “beg,” so it was all very confusing. Luckily, I was corrected. And still am.
I wore these pants with a USA Olympic shirt that had a lot of different flags on the back of it. I thought I was very cool and coordinated. I was a senior in high school.
I must have worn these pants in public? One time, I was shopping in the mall near my house (sadly, not for new pants), and a man offered me $25 for my pants.
Of course, I declined! These were my American Flag Pants, and I was going to Spain in less than a month! I had to wear the American Flag Pants in Spain (to bed, not in public).

I had a shirt with all of the different flags of the world on it. It was a shirt given to my by an employer (Word Perfect) showing all of the countries the product was in. It was pretty cool.
I have one Olympic shirt that I got from the Norwegian bobsledding team that has the Salt Lake Olympic logo on it (it’s a light blue polo shirt). Each time I wear it, people ask me if I worked the olympics (my fiance did and was the driver for the above bobsledding team)
So if you would have taken up the guy on his offer what would you have worn home?! He probably just wanted to get your pants off! 😉

Robin – Thanks 🙂 I think those girls didn’t like me because one of them was dating my ex-boyfriend, and was pretty immature. Not that that is a very good reason!
martymankins – I think flags are so cool. I would love to be able to tell match all the flags to their different countries. That is so cool that your fiance worked with the bobsledding team! What did she do with them?
Christina – That is what I was wondering? My underoos? I think he was for real though. He was kind of crazy.
They “didn’t like you” because they liked their food so much, there was no more “likey” to give out. 🙁

Oh, forgot to mention, I got my book today 😉 I’m at work tonight and after I get caught on on my favorite blog reads, I’m going to sift through it! I’m excited!
I bet if you looked on eBay, you’d be able to find yourself another pair of those pants.
As mentioned in my post, she was their driver, taking them from Salt Lake to Ogden at least once a day. She had a lot of fun.
I bet they seemed cool then.. and while I’m not trying to knock patriotic.. it’s a good thing you don’t know where they are. Do not wear those pants again if you do find them:)
